My husband works at Safeway and someone dumped this cat at the store. A Vet around the corner kept her for awhile in case someone came to claim her. When no one did, we took her home.

Bio:
Benson is named after a character on the TV show "Soap". Our last black cat Benson (a boy) lived to be over 20 years old.

Summer is here with a vengeance! I love a sun bath as much as the next Bombay, but this heat is horrible :(
Thank the Cat Goddess that Mom keeps some ice cubes in my kitty fountain!

Spring Cleaning 4/5/07

Mom is Spring Cleaning. Down come all the drapes and curtains. Out go comforters and pillows to the fresh air. Am I next? Doesn't she know I just got that quilt fluffed the way I like it? The open windows are nice, except when neighborhood outdoor kitties come too close. All in all, I guess Spring Cleaning is a good thing. Afterall, she did find my little toy mice underneath the sofa! I'll give her a few more days to get this out of her system....

I don't think I've ever been so happy to see February before. We have had snow since October, and January felt like it lasted 2 months!
I have a new kitty condo that is 4 stories tall sitting by the sliding glass doors. Even on a cold day like today I can lay in the sun - ahhh.....
