Arrival Story:
Mommy was dating someone whose son picked me just for them. Daddy left but Mommy and I got through it together! At first I was closer to Daddy but after awhile Mommy and I bonded closer and closer, and now we're inseparable! We cuddle every night and morning. I like to get as close to her as I can, right on her pillow. I sometimes put my paw on her face, and wash her face like she is my kitten. I love to snuggle. Mommy says I'm a blessing, and that she is so lucky. I'm her little boy.

Bio:
When I was almost two years old I had a scary illness that almost killed me. Thankfully Mommy was on top of it, and she found a wonderful vet. Soon after, we adopted a kitten temporarily, and he became like a son to me for the next year and a half. I miss my little buddy sometimes, since he left with his new family... But I still have Sandy... And of course, Mommy! I'm a bit calmer now than I used to be but I still have moments where out of nowhere I'll go after Sandy and we'll chase each other all over the place tearing things up. I'm much more of a gentleman though, and I let the ladies eat first. But I still make a point of climbing doorways like trees at least once a day. I have to keep up my 'crazy black kitty' image, you know.

I'm back!

Recently, one night, when mom wasn't looking I dashed out the door. She didn't see me because I'm so dark and quick! Besides, I had been planning this for a long time.

So when her friend that was visiting left the door open, (because some people don't know that kitties like me will take advantage of such opportunities, ha!) I finally got to go out all by myself.

So spent nearly a week and a half in the outdoors! Some of it was really fun, (especially playing with other kitties!) but not all of it. I was in for a big surprise once the weather got cold again and it started to rain. I had to hole up under an old loveseat someone had thrown by the dumpster. I missed my warm soft bed and all the nice food I used to get.

My mommy called for me and searched all over every day, but I didn't start answering till I got tired of all the rain and the big mean tom cats that live around here. Nothing beats all the love and cuddles I get from Mommy! I missed her!

I guess she missed me terribly, too, because she hung signs all over town, put ads in the paper and told all the neighbors to call if they'd seen me. People are still calling, but it must sadly be other kitties less fortunate than me, who don't have homes. I am so grateful that I am not one of them.

The good news is that my grandma takes care of all the stray cats she can find in the area. She spends hours almost every day feeding the hungry cats in this town and the next one over. She also gets them fixed so they don't make more stray babies. If you see a stray cat that's just a little bit overweight, you know Grandma's been there.

Anyway when I finally was back in momma's arms, I felt safe again. I follow her around all the time and get a little nervous when she leaves or goes into another room and closes the door. She picks me up and snuggles me. I like to sleep next to her head and lick her face while she nuzzles my soft velvety fur.
