indoors Arrival Story: Margarine...I know it is an unusual name for her coloration. About 30 years ago, my family had a tortie name Butter; and we don't name new pets after pets we have had. So what better than to use the substitute for butter than margarine for a name? Bio: Margie was a rescue from the street of the town we live in. Three years ago at Christmas, the neighbor girl took her in and her Mom told her that she couldn't keep the cat. So, she brought her to us. Marge was isolated in the basement for about a week and my husband would go and visit her. The two of them became very attached to one another. This is how Margarine joined our family.
