Exploring! I am the definition of a "curious cat." I find something new to explore every single day. I also love when mom and dad come home with Petsmart or Petco bags -- gifts for me are a plus!
Being told "no". For instance, when I try to drink from the toilet and mommy says "no!" Geez.
Toys on strings! I also love the scratching post with the ball that goes around and around. Boy, that's fun.
Favorite Nap Spot:
My daddy's chest! When he goes to sleep, I do the same -- on his chest. He loves me, so it's okay. I also love to nap on the back of the couch and on top of the Kitty Condo.
I absolutely love Innova EVO. I love Wellness wet food and tuna as a treat!
I can do all sorts of crazy twists and jumps from the top of the kitty condo. Mommy thinks I should be in the olympics! I can also jump freakishly high.
I was napping on the lap of a shelter worker when mommy and daddy came to an Adopt-A-Thon in Oviedo, Florida to look for a cat to be a sibling to Landon Dakota. Mommy was eyeing another cat in the crates until she saw me. Then she made a lot of "AWW!" sounds at daddy and I think he and I both knew I was about to be adopted! Mommy said she fell in love with the tufts in my ears and my big, silly tail. The shelter worker let mommy hold me and I fell asleep in her lap while purring. At this point, Daddy went to get the kitty carrier out of the car because it was clear I was "the one!"
We adopted Hadley as a sibling for our other beauty, Landon Dakota. It took the girls a few weeks to warm up to one another, but they're currently best pals! The woman from the rescue told us that Hadley was found behind a dumpster as an itty, bitty kitten. An elderly woman took her in and cared for her until she passed away. Hadley is still young but an undeniable snuggler. We couldn't have picked Landon out a better little sister -- and Landon agrees!

Rest In Peace:
On July 13th, 2007, Hadley was found unresponsive on the floor. My fiance and I rushed her to the emergency vet where they diagnosed her with severe anemia. She stayed overnight and received oxyglobin via her catheter. That morning, we took her to our normal vet for a routine check-up where they found out that Hadley had leukemia. Her original adoption papers show that her leukemia test was negative -- apparently, it was a false negative and this whole time she was positive. Hadley went from doctor to doctor, we were eager for second opinions or some miracle. Unfortunately, Hadley passed away on July 15th, 2007. She'd lost five pounds in that short period of time and was decreasing in health so rapidly. It was Hadley who decided it was her time to go. Our hearts will never heal. She was our baby, our life, our world. There isn't a second that passes when we don't miss her with all of our beings.

We went to the Adopt-A-Thon not really expecting to come home with a cat. We were just "looking" for a possible playmate for Landon, but no one promised anything. I saw you laying on the lap of an older woman with the adoption center and told your daddy to go get the crate because I'd found Landon's playmate. I held you in my arms and you purred with approval. You came home and boy, did you show Landon who was boss (despite the fact she's your older sister!). Eventually, you two became friends and watching you two grow together made my life so extraordinary. The joy I get from you and your sister is amazingly high. Oh, Hadley, I love the way you wake me up at seven every morning with your purring and desire to be petted. And the way you demand I follow you at nine every morning to the treatjar where you tell me how you deserve a greenie. I love you so much for all you've done for me, for the way you brighten my days and evenings. Thank you, Hadley, for loving me. Goodness knows I'll love you for the rest of my life.

My new life is really great. I have so many fun toys and places to sleep. I also love my new mommy & daddy who really love me so much. The best part, though, is having my new big sister, Landon Dakota. Sometimes we still argue but we love to kiss and snuggle and play together (and we can play together for hours!). She's so great. Dont' tell her I said that, though, I still like to act tough because I'm bigger than her.
