Arrival Story:
I was the foster mommy for Harry's mom and her litter of 5. When the kittens were not quite 2 weeks old, I went in their room and noticed that one of the kittens was missing, Isabella had moved him across the room, so I picked him up and put him back in the kennel thinking that maybe she was moving the nest and I interrupted her. She promptly picked him up and brought him back to the same spot, that night I put him in his own kennel and started to bottle feed him, the next morning he was gasping for air and very listless, he had FURV, I took him to the shelter to have him put down, the kennel manager decided that he wanted to try him on Clavamox and force feeding, so I tried it and the little guy survived. My daughter named him Harry after Harry Potter - The Boy Who Lived. His 2 sisters Mia and Maya also contracted FURV as well as a bacterial infection in their tummies, the other 2 kittens, Oliver and Emma went on to be adopted at the shelter as well as momma cat Isabella.
