Arrival Story:
Cerveza was born wild in the field behind our house. She had two other littermates. The mother and one kitten disappeared not long after they were born and we started putting milk out for her and the little boy kitten. They wouldn't even let us touch them. We thought they wouldn't make it because they were so young, but we couldn't stand to see them starve to death. They slowly began to come up to our feet and sniff us, but if we'd reach down to touch them, they would run away. During the 4th of July weekend, we came home to find that Cerveza's brother had drowned in a swimming pool. She was so sad and lonely and she kept looking for him. I think if this had not happened, she still wouldn't have let anyone touch her, but after that she got where she'd come up and rub on our legs when we were outside. Finally she started to trust us and we could hold her and love her like a kitten should be loved. She is so sweet and has such a small voice, you can barely hear her. She went to the vet yesterday and was spayed and she got her shots. She is such a sweetie girl. Every morning when I go walking, she takes every step I take and comes right back to the porch for her breakfast.

Bio:
Cerveza is just the sweetest little kitten. I lost my 17 year old kitty, Mr. Rebel, last February. I got him when he was 6 months old and I was 18. Cerveza has his personality. He'd follow me anywhere too. He didn't like being alone.
