I'm gonna be sad

Dear everyone,
Wanna hear something so sad? My Mama is leaving me! :(
You see, my Mama is going to move to another part of this state, to go to school. She was gonna bring me. She kept telling me we were going to have an apartment together, just her and me, and not Grandma or Grandpa or Chopper. She even told me she was going to get me a kitty treehouse for the livingroom so I wouldn't get bored!
Then she went to the town where we were going to be living. She found out that it wasn't very safe. There seemed to be a lot of crazy people there. People were always setting things on fire and stuff. My mama was afraid something bad would happen to me. She was really upset and scared. Then she decided that she would leave me with Grandma and Grandpa for the year.
The good part about this is, I love Grandma and Grandpa's house! They have a yard and I can go out for walks on my leash. There are a lot of rooms and I am allowed to walk around in all of them! I can sleep wherever I want, but I also have my own bedroom, with a bed in it, that nobody else goes in! (Except when there's guests... then they sleep in my room, and I have to sleep with Mama.) Plus I like to play with the dog, Chopper. We are always together!
But I am gonna miss Mama! And she is going to miss me. I know she'll miss me, because I keep on seeing her crying.

Happy Birthday?

Dear everyone,
Mama says it's my birthday! Can you believe that? I think she's making it up!
Two days ago Mama put my carrier in the bedroom and put it on the floor. She unzipped it. But she never put me in it! It's been sitting there, wide open, ever since! Something is definitely up!

Cuddle Cat

Dear everyone,
Hi! My mama is really happy because I've been so cuddly lately! Last night I kept coming into her room and getting next to her on the bed to stay warm! My mama also put a bunch of stuffed animals in my bed for me. For a long time I didn't even notice them. But lately I've discovered them, and I think they're my babies! I carry them from room to room with me.
I'm also getting a lot friendlier with strangers who come to the house. The other night my Grandma had a bunch of people over. I didn't hide in my room. I went downstairs to the living room to investigate. I climbed all over the people and meowed at them! Mama said, "Well that took seven years, didn't it!"

Falling

Dear everyone,
Yesterday while I was playing, I found a spot on the basement ceiling where there was a big hole caused by a leak. And guess what I did? I crawled into the hole! Then, I was crawling around inside the ceiling. My mama was calmly working on the computer, thinking I was asleep on my favorite chair in the corner. Suddenly, I fell OUT of the ceiling! My mama said she heard a crashing noise, and looked over to see me and two tiles in mid-air!
Even though cats are supposed to always land on their feet, I landed on my side! Luckily I as okay. I jumped up and ran away, hissing at the tiles on the ground!
At first my mama couldn't figure out what had happened. When she realized I'd fallen out of the ceiling, she laughed and laughed and laughed! Can you believe that?
I guess curiosity didn't kill the cat this time, thanks to my nine lives!

Happy Thanksgiving

Dear everyone,
Now it's getting cold and it even snowed outside the other day! That means I don't get to go outside and play as much. (My mama said she'd take me out to see the snow one day, but I'm not sure how much I like that idea!) Time to hibernate, I guess!
Today was Thanksgiving and my Mama's relatives came over! My mama has two little cousins who are very small. I let them pet me and play with me, and I was very calm around them! My Mama was so proud of me and happy with me! She was afraid I would get upset and bite them. But I was very gentle and sniffed them and even purred for them! After they left my Mama told me a million times what a great cat I am! She said tomorrow she'd put a little bit of turkey in my bowl!
My Mama says she is searching fot my stepsister, a cat named Trouble who I never met before. A long time ago Mama lived in another state for a year to work, and she left me with my grandparents so I would be safe. My Mama met a stray cat and took care of her for the whole year! My Mama wanted the stray kitty to come home with her, but my grandparents wouldn't let her bring another kitty! Then my Mama was looking for an apartment where me and her and the other kitty could all live, but she never found one, so her roommate gave the other kitty away! I sort of am glad I get to be an only-cat. But my Mama cries a whole lot about that other kitty, even though it was years ago! Mama put Trouble's picture up next to me and my dog, so maybe someone will recognize her and tell Mama what happened to her. Can you help? I want my Mama to feel happy!
I think I will curl up on the chair over here and let Mama take over the computer! Happy Thanksgiving!

Feeling Better

Dear everyone,
Guess what? I am feeling a little better finally!I went a week without hardly eating, but now I am up to nibbling on some wet cat food. I even begged for treats and milk today! And my mama gave them to me! My mama is so mad because we went to the vet on Monday, and my lbood test results were supposed to be back on Tuesday, but now it is Friday and she STILL hasn't gotten the results back! My mama says I'm lucky I didn't DIE sitting around waiting for my test results! Oh well, I'm going to be fine, I just know it!

Sick as a cat

Dear everyone,
Guess what? I am very sick! :( I have been sick since Friday! On Friday I didn't want to eat anything, and I was throwing up. My mama thought I had a hairball, so she wasn't worried about me. But by Sunday, I still hadn't eaten anything, and I was still throwing up all the time!
My mama was very worried about me. I saw her crying! I walked up to her and looked in her eyes to try to tell her that I would be okay. But she just told me how skinny I was getting! Then she called the vet. You know I hate the vet!
I hated the vet so much, I spit at the doctor and tried to bite her! She was feeling me and pinching me all over! Finally I just hid my face in my Mama's sweatshirt! The doctor even gave me a blood test.
I have been feeling a little bit better yesterday and today. My mama got some wet cat food and put it on her fingers and I munched a little bit of it, and didn't throw up! Mama thinks I might have chewed on a plant that I shouldn't have chewed on! But she's going to find out for sure from the vet today!
I hope I will be feeling better soon. My mama is so sad when I am sick! I hope everyone will send me some good thoughts!

It's An Animal Planet!

Dear everyone,
My mama is home from work but she was gone ALL DAY! She leaves early in the morning and sometimes doesn't come home until late at night, cause she goes to school and then work. When she came home today it was really dark out! I went by the door and asked to go outside, but my Mama laughed at me and told me it was too dark to go outside! She's such a scaredy-cat! But she played catch with me with a ball of paper, instead. I love to catch things with my two paws! Then she put on Animal Planet for me because I like to watch the animals! I especially like shows with big animals like elephants or horses!
Now my dog is barking! I have to go upstairs and investigate what's the matter! I'm a great watch-cat! If only I could meow louder!

Cat fight

Dear everyone,
I almost got in a fight today! My mama took me outside on my leash cause it was such a nice day out. She was walking around with me, with her nose ina book, so she didn't seethe black-and-white cat in the back yard, the neighbor's cat. But I did! I got upset and tried to chase the other cat, but my mama held onto my leash and the other cat got away. I'm definitely the alpha-cat around here! Then I couldn't settle down! I kept hissing at my dog and at my Mama! My Mama was really scared that I'd get in a fight and she was yanking on my leash like I was a pitbull! Luckily the black-and-white cat went inside his house, and then I relaxed a little. I'm such a tough guy!

Cat scratch fever

Dear everyone,
My mom is being so mean and won't take me outside, all because yesterday when she tried to put on my leash I bit her! Then when my grandma came home and tried to put on my leash, I scratched my grandma and bit her in the face and made her bleed! All because I don't want to wear my leash!
Then I tried to sneak outside after the dog, but I got my finger caught in the door instead. I screamed!
I am sick of my leash. The cats nextdoor never have to wear leashes! And I didn't used to have to wear one either, as long as someone went outside with me. But ever since those cats nextdoor moved in, every time I see them I try to escape! And then my mama gets mad!
What am I going to do?
