Arrival Story:
Lucy chose me in September of 2001. I was sad because I'd been trying to get pregnant and didn't have success. I was desperate for something little to take care of. My friend Jennifer had rescued her from a field. She was so tiny and sweet and clung to me. I had to have her. It took some fast talking, but I finally convinced my husband at the time to let me have another cat (we already had 2!). When I got divorced, Lucy came with me to the new place, and then she moved to Chicago. Shortly after she moved, she fell ill and had to be put to sleep on May 30, 2008. She is dearly missed.
Bio:
Lucy had a sister, Faye, who was almost identical to her in looks and personality. Faye lives in Ohio with Jennifer. The siblings had a brother Ernie, who had to be put to sleep.
