Arrival Story:
Big Boy belonged to my sister-inlaw\'s parents, who were relocating to Canada for most of the year. They graciously let me adopt Big Boy, and he\'s been my best friend ever since!
Bio:
Big Boy went on ahead of me today, 1-30-06. His cancer had spread to his lymph nodes, and his bladder tumor was inoperable. To keep him from getting to a point where he was in pain and suffering from his illness, I did the hardest thing I've ever had to do today. He was in my arms surrounded by my love when he went on. The vet and his assistants were there too and they all gave him hugs and petted him. I was holding him and kissing him and telling him I was there and that I loved him when he went on. My heart is broken but I know he's waiting for me, and I can't wait for the day when I see him again........................
***NEW YEARS UPDATE***
1-7-06 Big Boy is still hanging in there! His weight was down to 8 pounds, but Mom keeps feeding him delicious treats. He is doing well with a combination of medicines, and we remain hopeful that he can survive a bit longer with no discomfort. Big Boy recently lost his back left leg to a cancerous tumor, and it was recently discovered he has a tumor in his bladder as well. This tumor is inoperable, but we're going to give him lots of love and make him as comfortable as possible. Big Boy is the love of my life!
Big Boy truly is one of the loves of my life. He adjusted well from being an outdoor cat to an indoor cat. Recently, he had bad tartar on his teeth and had to have his four front fangs removed! He is doing just fine though, and every night he gets in bed with me for a snooze. Usually when I watch tv, he's right there on my lap, enjoying the show too!
