IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!

Today is my birthday and I am one year old! I feel like a big kitty now. I'm soooo excited about my birthday because I've never had one. First when I woke up mom told me all about how I came to live with her and dad.

I already knew that story, but I like to hear it anyways. Then she gave me a new mousey toy and a new fluff ball! I looooove them so much! She said tonight we are going to have a very special party. I can't wait. I just hope she doesn't make me wear one of those hats.

Since today is my birthday Keo and Capone have to be nice to me, let me eat first, and let me lay in the window. This is going to be the best day ever!!!

I am so very excited to have a girlfriend. And we have so much in common. And the more I learn about her, the more I like her. I have a squishy feeling in my tummy whenever I think about her that mom calls "butterflies". Oh! And mom loves Suzy Jo too! She said that I did a wonderful job picking out a girlfriend and she is glad that Suzy Jo makes me so happy.

Mom doesn't like my new game ...

I have this new game that I like to play about five o'clock in the morning. It doesn't have a name, but it goes something like this:

Get up, make as much noise as possible, find something to bat across floor. Preferably something loud. After about ten minutes, get full of energy and do zoomies up and down the hall. Proceed to carry zoomies onto bed where mom and dad are sleeping. Bounce back and forth between window and dresser. Finish off game by jumping on mom's face to get her up and get her to join in the fun!!!

Mom doesn't really like this game. I can't get dad to play, cause he won't ever wake up. I think its really fun. Sometimes Capone joins in. Keo mostly just watches us play. I really wish mom appreciated it more. I made it up all on my own!!!

Psssst!!! Over here!

Hey, it's me, Macavity, sneaking out from under the bed to type a few words.

Why am I under the bed you might ask? The dog ... not just any dog, Keagan, the new dog. He is H-U-G-E!!! Mom says he won't hurt us, but I don't know about all that. Capone and Keo said its true. They've been out playing with him, but I just can't understand how they can do that.

So, guess what I did last night? Mom put this baby gate up so that Keagan couldn't get into the bedroom and I wouldn't get scared. I was really happy, and decided I'd let that ol' dog know who was boss around here. So, I jumped over the baby gate, ran up to him while he was sleeping, smacked him on the head, and ran back into the bedroom, under the bed. That dog never did come after me (I don't think he even woke up) but it still made me feel better. Mom says I'm a silly kitty.

Anyways, I'm going to see how close I can get to his food bowl. Capone got a piece of dog food out of it yesterday and Keagan didn't BUDGE!!! Man, he must be scared of us!!!

Introductions

Hello everybody! I'm new. Well, I'm not new, new, but I am new to Catster.

I like it here so far. A lot of cats and kittens have asked me to be friends with them. MEEEEEEOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW!!! Thanks guys!

Anyways, I'm Macavity. I live with Keo, Capone, Kizmet, Pepe, mom and dad. I love them all very much. Keo is very nice to me and gives me baths because he is my big brother. Capone plays with me. Pepe is my special friend and I snuggle with him when no one is looking. Kizmet is a little hyper, but he shares toys, so I like him too.

Mom and Dad are the BEST!!! Dad picks me up real high on his sholders so that I can bat at the cord on the ceiling fan. Mom cleans my ears out (they get pretty icky) and my eye boogers and we snuggle up at night. I like for her to hold me when I sleep so I don't get scared. I like her so much that I get up with her in the morning and sit on the bathroom sink to watch her get ready. Its our special time together.

I hope that you guys like my diary, and that you like meeting me. I can't wait to talk to all of you!
