Arrival Story:
This kitten had been dumped in rural southern AL. He was found with 3 siblings eating out of dumpster. The kittens ran up to the people who approached. They rescued the 4 kittens and took them to where they were staying. The rescuers were students at an outreach program where my brother was studying. He called me about adopting one of the rescued kittens. We finally agreed to foster one of the kittens until we could get it adopted into a good home. My brother brought the kitten up to our house in spite of being allergic to cats. Marcus was a mess, with fleas and diarrhea, and he was bathed nightly for a week, just to get him cleaned up. The vet told us he was 5 weeks old at that point, and had been rescued about a week earlier. In spite of our resolve to adopt him out, my husband became very attached to the kitty boy. Enough that when we had the opportunity to give hime to a home we didn't. The vet had it right the first time when we brought him in to get checked out; he had already found a good home.
