Arrival Story:
We put off getting pets until after we got a house, since our apartment didn't allow pets. So after purchasing a house, my hubby reminded me about getting a cat. I wasn't sure if I was allergic to cats or not, and had never owned a cat since both my brothers are allergic to felines. I am allergic to dogs, so a pooch is pretty much out of the picture. We finally agreed to get a cat and went to several shelters to check out the local feline population. In the end, we visited a local humane society branch and saw the kitties there. There were kittens in the cages and they were cute, but I knew the kittens would get homes with very little problems. So we looked at the older kitties. Delenn had been surrendered by her previous owner and was a year old. She had a wonderful disposition, and we knew she was family.
