Arrival Story:
I adopted Lobo 2 days after I had to put my 19 year old kitty down. I was planning on getting a kitten, but it was the wrong season, and it turns out that being petless is not so much an option for me! Any qualms I had about adopting a full grown cat were completely groundless, although he did have a couple of quirks. His first owner apparently made him a little neurotic about food; he wouldn't eat if I was in the room. He would wait just outside the door until I left the kitchen, then he would go in and eat. He's mostly over that, but if I walk in and startle him while he's eating, he'll still bolt sometimes.

Bio:
Lobo was picked up as a stray, so I have no idea what his previous life was like. He is the most affectionate cat I've ever had. He's not real lap oriented (I think it may have been discouraged), but he always likes to right next to me. As soon as I walk in the door, we have enforced "snuggly time" where I drop everything and pet the cats for about 10 minutes. If this is delayed for any reason (that commute is rather long ;Þ ), he'll follow me around until he gets his pettin'! I don't believe he was abused in his prior home, but based on his clinginess, I do believe he was neglected, and it astonishes me that his owner didn't claimed him when he went stray. Of course considering that he's one of the sweetest, cuddliest, most gentle natured cats I've ever known, much less owned...gift horse...mouth...I'm not lookin'!
