Brusselball

Squeaks! The Brusselball group has lots of neat things going on :)

One is the travelling bb! Our Wizard started it last year with a cool knitted bb that was made especially for the travelling bb. The bb traveled all over the world: US, Canada, UK, even Down Under :) It was lots of fun.... until a participant received the box of goodies and would not give it back despite many phone calls >:-| Wizard started a new travelling bb before he went to the Bridge. Hazel Lucy and Callie both made bbs for us. We are taking over the travelling bb for Wizard now. We sent the box out last week and the first participant received it today! It's Alfie who lives across the big pond in England. Go bb!

Another thing Wizard started is custom made felted bbs. Skeezix had featured custom felted pet sculptures in his blog, The Cat's Meow. Wizard thought it would be cool if all bb members could have their very own bb so he asked the Human featured in the blog article to make some. The felted bbs will only be available until Christmas so order soon! Click here to order a bb.

The Brusselball group is having a memorial bb game on Dec. 5 starting at 5pm Eastern. Come join us for a good game of bb! Thank you Arnold P. for inventing a cool game!

Squeaks! Thank you to all the friends who gave rosises and gifts and sent messages for us. They are very much appreicated. It is comforting to know what our Wizard was loved by many friends. Thank you, too, if you made a donation to the big healing place in memory of our Wizard.

Wizard came to visit yesterday. The Human woke up and went out into the hallway. There, glowing around the hallway nighlight, was an orange halo. The nighlight has a white bulb and normally gives off a white light. The Humna knew it was our Wizard visiting. Wizard would often lie in front of that nightlight in the morning and wait to be carried to the kitchen to be fed. The orange halo made the Human very sad but also happy that Wizard came to visit. The orange halo went away after a minute.

Wizard's healing people, Dr. B and Dr. P, are buying a Tree of Life Sculpture in his memory. The healing people took very good care of Wizard during his stay in the big healing place and they tried their very bet to fix him up. It is very thoughtful of the healing people to buy a sculpture for our Wizard. Dr. P said that Wizard won over many hearts at the big healing place.

An Angel forever now ;-(

Squeaks, dear friends. It is with a very sad heart and teary eyes that we tell you that our Wizard took his journey to the Bridge last night ;-( The Human visited Wizard last night and he was still hanging in there. Two hours later, the healing person called to say that Wizard was declining. While the healing person was talking to the Human on the phone, Wizard started having trouble breathing and then his heart just stopped ;-( The healing person was so sorry. The Humans went back to the big healing place to visit with Wizard one last time. The healing person was crying, too. She knew how much Wizard was loved.

Thank you for all the support for the past week. We know Wizard appreciated all the purrs. Now he is at the Bridge where he is no longer in pain or sickness.

Creature angels Gibbs, Bernie and Bertie Bott have met Wizard at the Bridge gate and are welcoming him to his new forever home. We know Calvin, Scootie Bugy, Tiger Lily, and many Catster angels will help welcome our Wizard, too.

Squeaks! Wizard is still hanging in there. The healing people still do not know exactly what the problem is :( They are giving Wizard medicines to help his body heal but it is a tricky balancing act.

Update on our Wizard

The Human visited Wizard today. He was moving around a little bit. He moved his head and kneaded a little. The meanies are still having a party in Wizard's body >:-| Wizard's healing person said that many other healing people are still working to fix Wizard all up. His condition is guarded at the moment. Wizard will have to stay a bit longer at the big healing place :( We miss him.

Squeaks! Our Wizard's condition has not changed :( Some of his blood values got worse but the healing people are trying very hard to fix everything and find out what is making our Wizard sick. Update on our Wizard

Squeaks! The Human visited the Wizard today. Wizard is still not well :( He has tubes sticking out of his body. One tube is attached to a bag of brown fluid and it goes into his nose :-O That is how Wizard is being fed. The other tubes are for fluids and medicine.

Wizard was very quiet and did not move while his ears were scratched :( The healing person said Wizard was a little perkier than yesterday but it was hard to tell. There is still no definitive diagnosis yet. The healing people are thinking about mean Pan Crea Titis and his friend, En Terits. Go away big bad meanies! Leave our Wizard alone!

Oh, Ann Emia didn't visit Wizard after all. It was her cousin, Ann E Ma. She is a little nicer because she helps poopies come out. But Wizard's poopies wouldn't come out, maybe because he wsn't feeling well.

Squeaks! Our Wizard had to be hospitalized today :( He got very sick on Thursday. The Human came home from work and found Wizard lethargic and hunched over and in pain. Wizard went to the big healing place right away. A healing person examiend Wizard and took some blood to test for stuff. That came back ok. The healing person sent Wizard home with some pain medicine.

The next dayWizard was still not feeling well or eating so he went back to the big healing place. Wizard's regular healing person examined him and took pictures of his insides and took more blood. Wizard also had a visit from Ann Emia. She's not very nice. The healing person thought Wizard would do best at home so he sent Wizard home with medicine and fluids. He gave Wizard a tentative diagnosis of something called Pan Crea Titis. This Pan person is very mean for making our Wizard not feel well >:-|

At home the Human gave Wizard medicine and fluids and syringed fed him food. Wizard did not want to be bothered. His tummy was very sensitive and hurt.

Today Wizard was still not feeling well. The medicine and fluids did not seem to be helping. Wizard would not eat unless syringe fed. Wizard went back to the big healing place and the healing person examined him and took more pictures of his insides. The healing person said Wizard was not in very good shape and had to admit him :( Wizard has to stay for at least a few days so the healing people can fix him up.

Please send purrs for our Wizard to feel better! We hope the healing people can make our Wizard all better.

An older furt

Today is my 12th birthday! I spent my birthday sleeping, mol. Teddy, Tux, Tiger Lily, Boo, Sasha, and Shadow sent me a cool feather toy :D Frankie and Mac sent me a card.

Scooter is an angel now :(

Scooter journeyed to the Bridge today :( Bernie, Bertie Bott, and Gibbs met her at the gates and gave her a big hug and a tummy tickle. They are now showing her around her new home, a place where she will always feel like a kitten and enjoy the Summer of Scooter.

Purrs for Scooter

Our Meezer friend Scooter is not well and will be helped to the Bridge soon by her loving family.

My Creatures and I are very sad to hear this. Scooter is a very good friend of ours. Bernie and Bertie Bott were Scooter's first Creature friends. They enjoyed sitting in her large meezer ears and tickling her tummy and being mischievous. They sent her anonymous rosies one year. They had fun doing that and Scooter enjoyed the mystery, too. Other felines got into the game and soon there were so many anonymous rosise that Samoa's Detective Agency was started to handle and solve all the cases.

When new Creatures arrived in my kingdom, I named one after the wise and gentle Scooter. Scooter was happy that I named a Creature after her. Scooter the Craeture and her siblings, Abby and Gibbs, loved Scooter and enjoyed squeaking to her at parties and sending her gifts.

Bernie and Bertie Bott and Gibbs are waiting at the Bridge for their Scootie Bugy to arrive. They wil show her around and sit in her ears and tickle her tummy just like old times.

Many many purrs and hugs for Scooter's family during this time.

Birthday!

Happy 11th birthday to me! Thank you to all my friends who gave me rosise and gifts! I'm enjoying my birthday a lot. My Human gave me some cooked chicken with my breakfast and dinner. Yum!

Abby and Scooter are doing well. They miss their brother a lot :( Abby and Scooter were able to see our favorite special healing person before she left the healing place. We hear that she is going to Pennsylvania to start her own Creature practice. We will miss her a lot. She was the bestest special healing person all my Creatures' ever had.

Fly free, Gibbs

My Creature Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs went to the Bridge yesterday :( He suddenly got very sick. He was fine in the morning but by afternoon he was flattened, cold, in discomfort and restless. A few hours later he was bleeding. My Human rushed him to the healing place. A healing person examined Gibbs. The healing person felt a hard mass in Gibbs' belly. The healing person said she could try to fix Gibbs but it might not help at all since Gibbs was in very bad shape. My Human felt it was to best to send Gibbs to the Bridge where he would no longer be in pain. My Human and Abby and Scooter spent a few minutes with Gibbs before he was taken away :(

Gibbs will be missed by his sisters and me and my Human and by many Catster friends.

Thank you to those who have sent messages and rosies to us. We appreciate them very much.

Happy birthday to us!

Today is our first birthday! *Creatures squeak excitedly* We had a party a week and a half ago. Many of our friends came: Scootie Bugy, Frankie, Teddy, Miss Samoa and family, Pooh and family, the A Team, Toulouse, nummy Chester..... *giggling* Thank you to everyone who came to the party!

Christmas!

Merry Christmas to my Friends who celebrate the holiday! I hope Santa Claws gave you everything you wished for.

I received a new collar and tags and a bell but Santa Claws got the wrong ollar size. My new collar is a little too small. The buckle is on the last hole but it's a little too snug for my Human to feel comfortable with. My Human will need to get the 12 inch collar. I have a big neck, mol. I have a mouse-shaped tag and a special medical alert one because of my diabetes. I also received a little catnip square from my good Friends Louis LeBeau and his brother Ethan.

My Creatures received gifts, too. Louis LeBeau and Ethan and their Grumpy Frog sent them little sticks to gnaw on. My Creatures love teir sticks. My Human gave them one to gnaw on. My Creatures curiously gnawed on the stick at first. Gibbs decided he liked the stick very much so he dragged it away from Abby and Scooter and into the house. Mol. Abby and Scooter tried to get in the house but Gibbs wouldn't let them. My Human gave Abby and Scooter their own stick to gnaw on. My Creatures also received a new maze of tissue boxes and tubes to play in.

My present to my Human was a very nice blood glucose number at dinner time. Methinks Mr. P, my pancrease, woke up just for Christmas. I hope Mr. P stays. I miss him.

My Creatures and I made a monetary donation to the shelter and big healing place. Both do excellent work for all Creatures. We hope all the Creatures at the shelter and the big healing place are enjoying a good Christmas with toys and treats and love.

What a week!

This week has been a rather good week. My Creatures and I solved our first case at Samoa's Detective Agency! We only received one anonymous rosette with a clue but after looking through the case files, we had a good idea who the culprit might be. We Catmailed the suspect who confirmed our suspicions and later revealed himself to the Agency.

Then, Tigress informed me that I was voted Detective of the Month! What an honor to be DOTM! You can read the interview here.

Ginger may be famous but I did not enjoy my appointment with her. Oh, she did show up but she made the special healing person remove one of my teeth. Hisses. The special healing person sent me home with medicine to make the pain go away. It's yucky tasting stuff but works quite well. I'm supposed to visit the special healing person again in a few weeks to check on my teeth. I hope the visit will not involve Ginger.

Ginger!

Our Wizard sent us a new message. He said that he met Ginger and that she wasn't very nice. She made the healing person extract one of our Wizard's upper pre-molars. Our Wizard is most upset over losing a tooth. Our Wizard will be coming home soon.

A message from our Wizard

Squeaks, Friends! Our Wizard is at the big healing place right now for his appointment with Ginger. Our Wizard sent us a message using special magic:

"Meows. Well, I am here waiting to meet Ginger. My Human did not feed me this morning. She said that Ginger requested that I not be fed after midnight. Hmph. That was not a nice request. I am diabetic and need to eat. My Human left a can of food with me so I can eat later. Later? But I want food now! I am starting to not look forward to meeting Ginger."

We hope our Wizard will meet the famous Ginger today *squeaking*.

Meeting Ginger

Tomorrow I have an appointment with Ginger. Who is Ginger? She is quite famous for not showing up, as told in Samoa's diary. It's quite a disappointment when Ginger doesn't show up. My Human says that I will meet Ginger tomorrow for sure. We will have to see about that.

The world's first actual brusselball!

I have in my paws an actual brusselball to play with!!! A Human knitted the brusselball for me. It's bumpy shaped and green, just like the icky veggie. It is so much fun to play with! My Human took a video of me playing with the brusselball. My Creature Scooter even posed with the brusselball and that picture is on my Catster page, too.

A pirate's life for us

Squeaks! We uploaded two new videos to our Wizard's page. It is us enjoying our pirate ship and pirate cave *squeaking* We made the videos for our special friend Morgan the Pirate Gato's second birthday this weekend. Morgan loved his special pirate video :) We hope Catster enjoys the videos, too.

My Human took me to the healing place today. I was not pleased at all. I complained in my carrier but my Human would not listen to me. We went to the big healing place today, the same place my Creatures go to. The Humans at the front desk know my Human, perhaps because she came so often with Bernie and Bertie Bott. Abby, Gibbs, and Scooter have only visted a few times so far and that was just for Gibbs and his neuter problem.

We did not wait too long to see my special healing person. The exam room was just across from the waiting area. My Human lugged me in and took me out for the special healing person. The special healing commented on my visit last year and how he removed many of my bad teeth. He opened my mouth and took a peek inside. The special healing peron was pleased with my teeth. I only have gingivitis and one resorptive lesion this tme. My Human has been brushing my teeth almost daily since the dental last year. The special healing person gave me a quick check up. I let him poke and prod me without complaining at all. In fact, I was very well behaved today. With my regular healing person, I start hissing and growling before I even come out of my carrier. My dental cleaning is scheduled for late September. I am not looking forward to spending all day at the healing place with strange Humans.

Brusselball rosettes!!

As of last Friday afternoon, Catster has it's very first and very own Brusselball Group! My Creatures and I started the group and invited some brusselball fans to join first. Then more members joined. Now there is a good sized group of felines who want to play brusselball. We hope more felines (and canines, too) will join in this fun and unique game.

It's here! Our Squillion from the CB Shelter of Virtual Squillions! I let my Creatures choose the Squillion. I wasn't surprised when they chose a green Squillion and named it B.B. Mol.

My Creatures' big idea

Abby, Gibbs, and Scooter (and Bernie and Bertie Bott, too) came up with a great idea the other day. They always have fun playing brusselball at Samoa's Detective Agency and at Matzos Kitties Chevarim. They put their little heads together and came up with the idea of forming a brusselball group or thread for all Catsters to join and see what brusselball is all about. My Creatures CatMailed Winnie and Chester and discussed their idea with them, knowing how much Chester enjoys brusselball and it was partly because of him that brusselball was invented in the first place.

Winnie and Chester thought my Creatures had a great idea so my Creatures went to work on the details. They thought it would be best to start a thread in a forum first to see how much interest there is in brusselball. The result is the Catster Brusselball thread. So far, it's a good success :) Toulouse came up with some great ideas for a brusselball group. Now my Creatures are working on deatails for a group with Winnie and Chester and the inventor of brusselball, Arnold P.

I think my Creatures are going to have a very successful brusselball group. Now all we need are brusselball rosettes. Are you listening, HQ? We want brusselball rosettes! We want brusselball rosettes!

Hairy Potter and my birthday!

My birthday weekend was the best one ever! First on Friday, my Human let me open the package dear Scooter sent to me. I received two new cat nips toys! And a birthday card with a special Scooter postage stamp! My Human took a video of me enjoying the new toys. My Human also gave me a magic carpet catnip stick, which I also love.

Then, Hairy Potter and the Deathly Hallows came out at midnight on Saturday! What a conincidence! The last Hairy Potter came out on my birthday weekend. My Human decided to wait awhile before getting a book.

That was ok since my Creatures had a surprise birthday party planned for me on Saturday. So that's what they have been up to lately! The five of them secretly planned out the party. Many friends came to the all day party: dear Scooter, Milo, Louis LeBeau and Ethan, Toffy and Vanessa, Calvin and Samoa and Violet, the Fiends, the A Team, Winnie and Chester, Spot and Jones and Beau, Sunshine and Pooh Bear, Rascal, Diego, Zippie, Macaroni and Frankie, Haley Ann, Ashlye, Tick, Pepper, Morgan and his zoo, and Bruce.

What a party! Everyone had lots of fun. We playhed brusselball, of course, and pinata. Spot and Jones and Beau provided the excellent catering. Their magical 10 tier cake was divine!

From the A Team I received a new wand and a special Hairy Potter poster. From the Fiends, a gold pouch that will be useful for my wizardry. From my Creatures, the best birthday party ever with friends.

Today my Creatures surprised me with one more gift: a copy of Hairy Potter and the Deathly Hallows! My Human took pictures of me with my new book. We will start reading the book today. I hope the ending turns out well for Harry.

My birthday!

Today is my 10th birthday! I can't believe I'm already 10. Times does fly by fast.

I have mail!

I received a small package in the mail today. My good friend Scooter sent me something. My Human let me see the package but I can't open it until tomorrow. I want a peek at my birthday present now! Hisses. For now I am enjoying sniffing the package and lying on top of it. I wonder what could be inside?

I still have no idea what my Creatures are up to but methinks it has something to do with my birthday tomorrow. Hmm...

Pal of the Week!

Calvin made me his Pal of the Week today! What a neat honor from a cool feline! Calvin even wrote a diary entry about me!

Both Calvin and are celebrating our birthdays this week. My birthday is the day after Calvin's. Calvin turns 16, old enough to drive his cool red car, and I turn the big 1-0. I hope my Human gives me lots of presents for my big birthday.

Hmm...

My Creatures are up to something. They are quite busy in their dwelling with something. I hear them squeak excitedly to each other and mysterious banging noises coming from their dwelling. I wonder what they are up to? Hmm...

Last Saturday my Human took me to the groomers (well, it's called the Spa now) for a bath and fur trim. I did not enjoy the experience. I came home smelling very perfumy, much to the delight of my Human. Now, a week later, I still smell perfumy. The bad thing about being perfumy is that my Human knows where I am just by sniffing the air. It might be awhile before I smell normal again.

Something happened while I was at the Spa. The stress of the spa got Mr. P working again. I asked my Human who Mr. P is and she said that is is my pancreas. It is a body organ that produces insulin. It had disappeared for awhile but has come back. My blood glucose levels have been very good since the spa visit. I have needed less insulin, sometimes even no insulin. I hope Mr. P sticks around. Maybe one day I won't need any insulin injection.

Now to see what those mischievous Creatures are up to....

The special healing was right. My Creatures are very strange :) Gibb's mysterious bloating has mysteriously disappeared. He has not bloated up since the visit to the special healing person. Very odd. Perhaps Gibbs was trying out a spell and it did not work out quite right so the result was temporary bloating. Mol.

*Creatures squeak* We're all about brusselballs, squeaking with our Catster friends, and teasing Calvin just for fun *giggling*

Special Agent Gibbs and his team visited the special healing yesterday. Mol. Gibbs just needed his butt checked again. It has completely healed now. Gibbs did not enjoy his butt poked and prodded and squeezed. Mol. No one enjoys having their butt poked at.

Though his butt has healed, Gibbs has developed a strange new problem. He gets bloated after sleeping for a long time. He looks like a little balloon. The bloating goes away after awhile and does not seem to bother Gibbs at all. The special healing person is puzzled why Gibbs has suddenly developed bloating. The special healing person said that radiographs can be done if the bloating starts to bother Gibbs. Since Gibbs is doing well otherwise, my Human will keep an eye on the bloating.

The special healing person said that my Human always has Creatures with weird problems. Mol. Very true. Bernie had sudden seizures, Bertie Bott had the little hole in his belly, and now Gibbs has the mysterious bloating.

I'm a Cancer!

A surprise!

Special Agent Gibbs reported to the healing place today to get his little butt fixed up. Mol. My Human decided to put Gibbs into Norbert the mouse's old dwelling instead of the travel dwelling. Norbert the mouse's old dwelling is much roomier and has a bottle.

The special healing person called my Human with an update some time later. She and the healing person who did Gibbs' nueter discussed what to do about Gibbs. The healing person said that Gibbs' butt could just be having a reaction to the internal sutures, thus the swelling and some bleeding. A small hernia was also a possibility. The special healing person and the healing person decided that Gibbs does not need surgery to fix the problem. At least not now. The special healing person will keep Gibbs on medicine and hopefully the swelling will go away on its own. Gibbs was ready to go home then but my Human told the special healing person that she will get Gibbs later in the day.

A little while later, my Human got another call from the healing place. She thought that it was the special healing person again with another update on my Creature. It was a special healing person but not the first one. It was Bernie and Bertie Bott's special healing person!! She had returned to work today after some time off for not feeling well.

My Human was so surprised to receive a call from Bernie and Bertie Bott's special healing person. The last time my Human had spoken with the special healing person was the day Bertie Bott went to the Bridge. The special healing person thanked my Human for the card she sent with a picture of my new Creatures. The special healing person was excited about my new Creatures. She was even more excited when she found out from the other special healing peson that Gibbs was at the healing place today. The special healing person was able to meet Gibbs in person. I bet she gave Gibbs lots of attention. I know Gibbs is glad to have finally met Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite special healing person.

My Human will be picking up Gibbs soon. Abby and Scooter missed Gibbs all day and are glad that he will be home soon. They wish they could have met Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite special healing person today but perhaps when Gibbs goes for a recheck it will be with Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite special healing person.

Gibbs will be spending all day tomorrow with the special healing person. Yesterday the tissue that is sticking out of his butt started bleeding quite badly. My Human cleaned him up and started calling healing people. First she called the special healing person hoping that she was still at the healing place. No luck :( My Human left a message for the special healing person. My Human then called the healing person from work, even though she hated to bother him after hours for a non-work related vet issue. The healing person gave some advice and recommended a trip to the healing place if my Creature's condition did not improve.

My Human did end up taking Gibbs to the healing place with Abby and Scooter in tow. An emergency healing person, who it turned out went to school with my Human and then went on to learn all about healing medicine and become a healing person, cleaned up Gibbs and gave him some medicine to feel better.

The special healing person talked with my Human today and is concerned about Gibbs. She wants to take a look at Gibb's butt and see what the tissue is and if he has an infection inside. Gibbs will not like being away from Abby and Scooter all day tomorrow but I know that the healing assistants, especially Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite one, will spoil him and play with him.

I hope the special healing person will be able to fix my Creature all up.

1. I get excited at the sight of my testing supplies and insulin syringe. I know that those things mean that I will get food.
2. I let my Human know when my blood glucose levels gets too low. I have a particular meow. Low blood glucose levels is not good for a diabetic cat like me.
3. I enjoy having my teeth brushed and my ears cleaned.
4. I insist that my Human hand feeds me my treats one by one.
5. I do have magical abilities. My specialty is making things disappear and reappear mysteriously. My very first attempt was when I was very young. I lost my collar somewhere in the house while playing with my sister. My Human looked everywhere for it and so did my sister's Human to no avail. A week later I carried my collar right up to my Human who put it back around my neck and asked me where I found it. Of course, I would not tell her my new magical abilities, mol. I have recently mastered apparating, just like Harry Potter.

Gibbs visited the special healing person today. He has a tiny bit of tissue sticking out of his butt, a result of the neuter a few weeks ago. Gibbs let our favorite healing assistant hold him while the special healing person examined hin. Gibbs did not like having his butt prodded but who does? The special healing person determined that the incision has opened a little but the tissue was healing. There is no need to fix Gibb's butt at the moment. I hope Gibb's butt will heal soon.

Scooter and Abby went along, of course. They enjoyed visiting with the healing assistant and the special healing person. The healing assistants love my Creatures' fur coloring. One healing assistant said that my Human always has the best Creatures.

A year ago today, Bernie had visited the special healing person for his teeth. He had chipped his teeth somehow and the then-special healing person fixed it. That was the start of monthly visits for Bernie and Bertie Bott. In July the special healing person left after completeing his residencey. In August when Bernie and Bertie Bott visited again, it was a new special healing person (well, not really. She took care of Bernie and Bertie Bott when they went in for a late night emergency several months earlier) who soon became Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite and who kept my Creatures' various ailments in check until they went to the Bridge.

Abby, Gibbs, and Scooter have not yet met Bernie and Bertie Bott's special healing person. The special healing person has not been well for the past month and has not returned to the healing place yet. Perhaps the next time my Creatures need to visit, the special healing person will have returned. My Creatures enjoy their current special healing person but would very much like to have their care provided by Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite special healing person.

Gibbs came home yesterday. My Human was allowed to go into the Creature ward to get my Creature. Usually a healing assistant brings the Creatures out of the wards to the waiting room. Our favorite healing assistant was there as was another healing assistant who helped with Bernie and Bertie Bott once. I am glad that our favorite healing assistant helped with Gibb's care after the neuter.

Gibbs was in his travel dwelling ready to go home. The other healing assistant took Gibbs out and showed my Human the incision. It is not very pretty looking but it will heal. Gibb's butt is blue from the surgical glue, mol.

At home my Human put Gibbs back in the dwelling with Abby and Scooter. They were happy to see Gibbs. As Gibbs walked around, Abby followed after him snffing his butt, mol. Gibbs soon settled into the nest to sleep. Abby and Scooter played with each other and ran on the wheel while Gibbs slept. My Human took my Creatures out to play for awhile but they soon fell asleep in a box so they were taken back to the dwelling.

Gibbs had some medicine last night. He did not like the medicine, not even the strawberry flavored one Bernie and Bertie Bott enjoyed. Gibbs will take the medicine for a few days to keep infections away and to help with the pain. He will not need a recheck if the incision heals well. My Human may take him in anyways if Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite special healing person is back next month. We want the special healing person to meet our new Creatures since she loved Bernie and Bertie Bott.

My Creature Gibbs was neutered today. My Human dropped him off this morning and will pick him up soon. The special healing person said that everthing went well. I hope Gibbs leaves his incision alone. You may recall that Bertie Bott picked and scratched at his incision after his surgery and popped his belly wound open.

Abby and Scooter will be happy when Gibbs comes home. They missed him all day. I hope Gibbs does not have to be separated from Abby and Scooter for a few days while the incision heals. He would be lonely all by himself.

Anonymous rosettes

Hmm... I have received 6 anonymous rosettes lately. One from Frick-n-Frack, one from the Blue Seal Bandits, one from the Cheshire cat, one from Jack and Jill, one from STWC, and one that did not have a name signed to it. Thank you for the rosettes, anonymous givers!

Samoa's detective agency has been very busy trying to figure out the identities of these anonymous rosette givers. I highly suspect that the anonymous rosette giving is a result of the mischief my Creatures Bernie and Bertie Bott are causing from the Bridge. They sent Scooter a few anonymous Valentines rosettes, as I have written in this diary entry. Scooter had written about the rosettes in her diary and perhaps other felines read the diary entries and sent out their own anonymous rosettes and it just kind of grew from there.

Bernie and Bertie Bott - my mischievous Creatures always causing trouble no matter where they are, mol. My new Creatures are very well behaved by comparison. They enjoy playing in their playbox and eating treats. Scooter (my Creature, not our special meezer friend) is very picky about treats. She will not eat fruits or veggies, only Cheerios and pumpklin seeds. Abby is a little fussy with treats. Gibbs will eat anything. Perhaps female Creatures are just pickier about treats than boys.

My Creatures visited the special healing person today. The very first person they saw was Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite healing assistant. She was so happy to see my Human with not one but three new Creatures. She said that my Creatures were very cute. She talked with my Human for a bit. My Human learned that the healing assistant has five parrots and a dog at home and has had many small Creatures before. It took awhile to see the special healing person. The healing assistant who came to get my Human and Creatures was also very happy. She often helped with Bernie and Bertie Bott.

The special healing person did not know my Human or Bernie and Bertie Bott as the healing assistants did. She examined Gibbs first. Gibbs behaved himself very well. He even left the special healing person a present in the scale, mol. The special healing person took the present to check for protozoa. The special healing person said that other gerbils she has treated reecently had protozoa. Gibb's sample came back negative, which is good.

Abby was next. She too behaved well for the special healing person. She also left a present in the scale but it was a little puddle, mol.

Scooter did not get examined but that is ok. She is healthy and active.

The special healing person will arrange for Gibbs to be neutered sometime next week. My Human and I are glad that it will be done soon. Perhaps when Gibbs goes back for a recheck after the neuter Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite special healing person will be back.

Introducing my new Creatures....

Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, aka Gibbs Here is how he got his name :) Gibbs is the lone male. He is gray and white (the official coloring is called spotted lilac). Gibbs is the most friendly of the three. He likes to climb up and down my Human's arm and climb out of his playbox, mol.

Abby is the gray female (spotted gray agouti). She loves to run on her wheel and especially likes to let the wheel spin her around, mol.

Scooter was named after my good Catster friend Scooter. Bernie and Bertie Bott insisted on naming a Creature after Scooter. Scooter the gerbil is orangy brown (yellow fox). She is a bit shy and loves to gnaw on cardboard tubes.

All three are siblings. Pictures of my Creatures are above. Don't worry, I have not deleted the pictures of Bernie and Bertie Bott. They have been moved to page 2 of my photo book. I'm sure they do not mind having their pictures moved.

My Creatures are disappointed. They were so excited to see the special healing person next week but now they will have to see a different special healing person. Bernie and Bertie Bott's special healing person will be out for the rest of the month. That is a very long time to be out. I hope the special healing person is ok. Sending big purrs to the special healing person to feel better soon.

My Human has never met the other two special healing people, though Bernie and Bertie Bott must have during their frequent trips for teeth trimming and such. I imagine they are just as nice as our favorite special healing person. The healing assistants are most likely the same ones Bernie and Bertie Bott had. I hope Bernie and Bertie Bott's favorite healing assistant will be there when my new Creatures visit. She will be happy to see my new Creatures. Perhaps she can get in contact with the special healing person and let her know about my new Creatures, too.

Best In Show!

Bernie and Bertie Bott won Best In Show at the Heavenly Heart Gerbilry Anniversary photo contest! Their winning picture is above. Thank you to everyone who voted for my Creatures! I am sure Bernie and Bertie Bott are celebrating at the Bridge with all their friends.

We have found a solution for our Creature problem... we think. My Creatures have an appointment to see the special healing person (the very same special healing person Bernie and Bertie Bott visited so often) and we will see if the boy can be neutered. It can be done so we hope it will work out. If not, my Human knows of someone who can take the boy.

The special healing person will be so happy to see my new Creatures. I hope they behave themselves for the special healing person. They are still not quite used to being handled. My Human is working on that. We hope they will soon enjoy being handled like Bernie and Bertie Bott did.

Uh-oh

I do not have 3 male Creatures, much to the dismay of my Human. I have one male (the gray and white one) and 2 females (the gray one and the honey brown one). The store said that the Creatures were all males. Hisses to them for not correctly sexing the Creatures. My Human will call the store tomorrow and ask if she can exchange the Creatures. We do not want babies nor have the room for another dwelling. If we can exchange the Creatures, the hard part will be deciding who will go back. My Human originally wanted males so perhaps the two females will go back. I hope the other tank of male (hopefully) Creatures are still there. If we cannot exchange the Creatures.... well, my Human does not know what to do.

New Creatures!

I have Creatures in my kingdom again! My Human went to the pet store to buy me more food today. While there she looked at the Creatures. There were 3 tanks of gerbils. My Human asked to look at the male gerbils. A Human took out one tank and let my Human look at the gerbils. There were 4 gerbils inside: a white one that looks exactly like Bernie when he was a baby, two gray ones, and a black one. The gerbils were a few months old and not very friendly. My Human sked to see the other tank of males. This one had 3 younger gerbils: a honey brown one, a gray one, and a gray and white one. All the gerbils were friendly. They are about 9 weeks old and from the same litter. After some deciding, my Human took all 3 gerbils :)

My Creatures are home now exploring their new dwelling. They are using Bernie and Bertie Bott's old dwelling and supplies. I'm sure Bernie and Bertie Bott do not mind and are glad that I have Creatures again.

My Human has names for the Creatures but has not decided who gets which name yet. I will make a diary entry when my Creatures have their names and post a picture of them soon.

It has been awhile since I added a diary entry. There has not been much to write about since Bertie Bott went to the Bridge to be reunited with Bernie. My Human and I still miss Bernie and Bertie Bott very much.

My Creatures may be at the Bridge now but they are still causing mischief. They sent Scooter, one of their favorite Catster Friends, a few anonymous Valentine rosettes. They revealed their identity to Scooter on Valentine's Day. Scooter has diary entires about the anonymous rosettes. I had noticed the missing rosettes but didn't think much of it until Scooter sent me a Catmail. Silly Creatures, mol. Methinks their mischief with the anonymous rosettes is what started the Blues Brothers rosettes mystery and the new Obsidian Starlight rosettes mystery and perhaps other mystery rosettes that have appeared lately.

Bernie and Bertie Bott won a photo contest last May. Their winning picture is at the bottom of my Catster main page. The winning picture is now in the Best of Show contest at http://hhgerbilry.com/gerbilshow1.html. It is photo #2. You can click on the picture for a larger image. *Sigh* If things had gone well last week Bertie Bott would be at the healing place visiting the special healing person at this time (10am) today to check on his surgical incision. The special healing person will miss having my Creatures as patients. My Human will send the special healing person a card to thank her for fixing up my Creatures and give the link to my Creatures' slideshow. I know that the special healing person will enjoying seeing the memorial to my Creatures.

Bertie Bott will be greatly missed. I know that the special healing person did everything she could for Bertie Bott when he stayed overnight at the healing place. Perhaps it was just Bertie Bott's time to go to the Bridge.

Purring for my Creatures who are certainly causing trouble at the Bridge.

Bertie Bott, my troublesome little Creature, sadly went to the Bridge this morning at 4:30. When he came home from the healing place on Tuesday, he was not well. The special healing person thought Bertie Bott might have a respiratory infection. She gave Bertie Bott medicine to help him feel better. The special healing person did not re-fix the wound since Bertie Bott was not well. Yesterday Bertie Bott was still not well and was breathing very fast. His health declined overnight. My Human and I hoped that he would be able to make it to see the special healing person today but he could not.

The special healing person was very sad to hear about Bertie Bott. She knew how special my Creatures were to my Human. She said that Bertie Bott was very, very lucky to have a loving Human and that future Creatures will also be very, very lucky. Bertie Bott was lucky, too, to have a wonderful special healing person.

I hope that Bertie Bott has found his friend Bernie at the Bridge and together both are getting into trouble again, mol.

It will be some time before my Human gets Creatures again. I will miss having Creatures in my kingdom until then.

Bertie Bott has gotten himself in trouble again. *Sigh* He has managed to open up his surgical incision. My Human took Bertie Bott to the special healing person today. The special healing person looked at the wound and said that she has run out of ideas on how to fix my Creature. But other healing people may have ideas. Bertie Bott is spending the night at the healing place. The special healing person will clean out Bertie Bott's wound again tonight. Tomorrow specialists will take a look at Bertie Bott and try to come up with a way to fix the wound and keep Bertie Bott from bothering it. I hope there is something that can be done for my Creature, troublesome as he may be.

Bertie Bott is feeling much, much better today. Last night he felt well enough to get into trouble again, mol. He climbed onto a tissue box, slipped, and fell quite a distance to the floor. He did not hurt himself and seemed to have enjoyed giving my Human a scare, mol.

The surgical incision is healing well. Bertie Bott has scratched at the area a little but has mostly left it alone.

Bertie Bott seems to be doing well. Last night he felt well enough to play in his playbox for a little while and eat some banana. He quickly got tired and went back to his dwelling to rest. Bertie Bott's dwelling is sparsely furnished right now per the special healing person's orders. All Bertie Bott has is his wheel, his food bowl, his special food bowl, the water bottle, a pile of toilet paper for his nest, and a layer of paper towels instead of bedding. Bertie Bott does not seem to mind, though.

Bertie Bott's belly does not look too bad. The incision line is straight down his belly. Bertie Bott has not bothered the area so far. Methinks Bertie Bott needs a Band Aid to cover the area and help it heal faster, mol.

I visited with Bertie Bott last night. I sat in the window next to the dwelling for some time and watched Bertie Bott sleep. I hope Bertie Bott feels better soon.

Bertie Bott's surgery went well! The special healing person called a little while ago. She cleaned the wound and glued it shut, mol. She did not trim Bertie Bott's teeth because he was under anesthesia a little longer than he should have been. Bertie Bott will be able to come home later today with some pain medicine. The special healing person wants to see Bertie Bott in a week so she can check his wound. I hope Bertie Bott does not start picking and scratching at the wound when he feels better.

Bertie Bott visited his special healing person today. He was disappointed that his favorite healing assistant was not there today. The special healing person thanked Bertie Bott and my Human for the Christmas gifts. She said that she turned into mush when she saw the Creature picture, mol. It was a very cute and appropriate Creature picutre for the special healing person. The special healing person took the picture home and is still trying to find the perfect spot to hang it. The rest of the Creature healing staff enjoyed the chocolate mice.

The special healing person examined Bertie Bott. The wound on Bertie Bott's scent gland is much larger now and is much worse. Bertie Bott has managed to pick and scratch the wound to the muscle. The wound is infected now, too. The special healing person came up with some options for treating Bertie Bott: minor surgery to clean the wound and try to suture it close, antibiotic treatment for the rest of Bertie Bott's life, or put a Band-Aid on the wound and hope Bertie Bott does not take it off much like in this picture, mol. The last option is not feasible because we know Bertie Bott will take the Band-Aid off. My Human opted for cleaning Bertie Bott's wound and suturing it close. Bertie Bott will have the surgery on Saturday. I hope the surgery goes well and that Bertie Bott will come home.

Edited to add:

The special healing person has prescribed medicine for Bertie Bott to take until the surgery. Bertie Bott likes the strawberry flavor so it will not be hard to give him the medicine. My Human has to clean the wound, too.

Bertie Bott will visit his special healing person on New Year's Eve for a check up. His wound will not heal and my Human is concerned about Bertie Bott's kidney problem. This will be Bertie Bott's first visit to the special healing person alone. I am sure the special healing person and the healing assistant will give Bertie Bott lots of attention. Bertie Bott is looking forward to visiting the special healing person, though it will not be quite the same without Bernie.

My Human and healing person have put me on a sort of diet to help me lose the extra weight I have. I am eating more canned food and less dry food, which is not so bad. My daily calorie intake have been restricted to a certain amount. My Human has been playing with me more to get me to excercise. The extra weight is not good for my diabetes or for my overall health. I hope I can lose the extra weight. That will be my New Year's resolution, mol.

One of the Humans brought home Christmas gifts for me: two matching catnip pillows and a colorful nap pad wtih all sorts of wild African Creatures on it. A Human had made the gifts for me. The pad is comfy but I still prefer the one Jeter Harris made for me and the one from Catnap Creations.

My Human took the gifts to the healing place today. Bertie Bott and I hope the special healing person and the healing assistants like their gifts.

This time a year ago, Bernie had surgery to remove his tumor. My Creatures' very first special healing person was able to completely remove the tumor and let Bernie live for almost another year. A year ago tomorrow marks the day Norbert the mouse went to the Bridge. Bernie and Norbert will always be missed, as will my Mythical Creature.

A few more gifts have arrived in the mail since I lasted wrote in my diary. One is catnip toys but they are not for me. The box of chocolate mice for my Creature's special healing people came. My Secret Santa sent me a box of neat things: a blanket, a feather toy with a bell, a Creature toy, and a can of treats. Louis LeBeau and Ethan sent a Chistmas card. I wonder if more things will arrive this week.

My Human has wrapped up the gifts for Bertie Bott's special healing people. The matted picture has been framed and carefully wrapped up in a box. This is for the special healing person. The chocolate mice for the healing assistants and for all 3 of the special healing people are wrapped in a box, too. My Human has to write in the Christmas cards for the special healing people now and then drop the gifts off at the healing place this week.

Bertie Bott is doing well. He has not gone to see the special healing person so far this month. That is a first, mol. Perhaps Bertie Bott will not need to visit the special healing person very often now.

I received a gift in the mail today: a free sample of Seafood Bisque flavor Feline Greenies *licks lips* My Human gave me a piece and I enjoyed it. I also received a Christmas card from Scooter. Bertie Bott and I like the picture of Scooter on the card. We hope more gifts and cards arrive in the mail.

My Human has received boxes in the mail, boxes full of gifts for other Humans. One big box contains the matted picture for my Creatures' special healing person, some gifts for friends, and Christmas cards. Today a small box came with a catnip toy inside. It is not for me, though. Hmph. I did receive something in the mail: more insulin needles and a box of test strips. Not quite what I wanted. I will be busy helping my Human wrap the gifts up this weekend.

Bertie Bott is well. It has been a week since Bernie has gone to the Bridge. Bertie Bott still misses Bernie but perhaps not quite as much now as the first few days. The wound on Bertie Bott's scent gland has healed but Bertie Bott has started picking at it again. *Sigh* I hope he does not reopen the wound again.

Update:

The special healing person called with the results of Bernie's necropsy. Bernie was in very poor health. He had heart disease, liver disease, a tumor on his pancreas, fluid in his lungs, and kidney disease. All of those things lead to his declining health and the seizures. I am glad that we know why Bernie had the seizures.

Today my Human received a condolence card from the special Creature healing people. They are very sad that Bernie has gone to the Bridge. My Human's eyes started leaking when she read the beautiful messages inside the card:

"We are so sorry about the loss of little Bernie. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help you at this difficult time." --Special healing person whom my Creatures have never met

It is nice to know that Bernie was a favorite among the Creature healing people and that he will be missed very much.

Bertie Bott has decided what to send the Creature healing people. His special healing person will receive this matted print and a picture of him and Bernie. My Human will pick up the film and picture CD perhaps tomorrow and decide which of the many pictures she took of my Creatures is the best. Bertie Bott thought about sending his favorite healing assistant a card and gift but then thought that it would be more appropriate to send one gift to all the healing assistants and the other two healing people since everyone takes care of the Creatures in the wards. Bertie Bott found the perfect gift: chocolate pieces in the shape of mice. Mol. My Human will get the chocolate mice perhaps next week and wrap everything up and take them to the healing place.

Sad news

Bernie has sadly gone to the Bridge today. I have posted here: Sad Purrs. I will write more about Bernie's passing soon.

Update:

Bernie was not feeling well this morning. My Human took Bernie out and talked to him and told him that he had been such a good Creature for the past 3 years and that he will be missed when he goes to the Bridge. When my Human came home from work, she looked into the dwelling and only saw Bertie Bott picking through his bowl. Worried, my Human took the lid off and looked in my Creatures' nest. There, covered under some toilet paper, was Bernie's body. My Human took Bernie out and put him into a container. She wished Bernie a safe journey to the Bridge where he will meet my Mythical Creature and Norbert the mouse and live a new life free of seizures and health problems.

My Human called the healing place and left a message for the special healing person. Another special healing person called back and said that she was sorry about Bernie. She asked if my Human wanted a necropsy done on Bernie and my Human said yes. My Human wants to know what caused Bernie's seizures. My Human took Bernie to the healing place one last time. One of the Creature healing assistants came to take Bernie away. My Human would have liked my Creatures' favorite healing assistant to take Bernie but perhaps she was busy at the time. The healing assistant said that the necropsy would be done tomorow and results will come back in a week. I hope the necropsy shows what caused the bad seizures.

Bertie Bott seems to be well but I bet he misses Bernie. I am glad that Bertie Bott was with Bernie when Bernie went to the Bridge.

Purrs for Bernie

My poor ailing Bernie needs purrs again: Purrs for Bernie. Bernie just had another seizure :( Bernie gasped for air while he was having the seizure and my Human was afraid that Bernie might stop breathing. Bernie pulled through and slowly walked a short distance away to rest. My Human called the special healing person but she was not there so my Human left a message. *purring for my Creature*

Today was my turn to visit the healing place. I suppose the visit went well. My Creatures were certainly right about the healing place being very nice. The last time I went there it was rather dark and dreary but that was before the healing place opened the new wing.

I saw my Creatures' favorite healing assistant today. She said that I was a very handsome feline. She and my Human talked about my Creatures and their visit yesterday. The healing assistant did go away for the holiday which is why she was not there yesterday. She hopes my Creatures can stay out of trouble for awhile, mol.

I did not wait very long to see the healing person. A healing assistant came to get me and my Human. She asked the usual questions about my health and such and she took me out of my carrier to weigh me and to take my temperature. Then she went to get the healing person. While she was gone, I slid off the table and sat in the corner of a bench next to the table, hiding myself behind my carrier and my Human's bag. Soon the healing assistant came back with the healing person and a visiting healing person. The healing person asked more questions about my diabetes and then examined me. The healing assistant picked me up from my hiding spot and put me back on the table. She held me while the healing person listened to my heart and poked and prodded me. I did not enjoy having my bladder poked at and I let the healing person know that. I was glad when the healing person finished examining me. He and my Human then talked more about my diabetes.

Finally we were able to leave. The front desk Humans asked if my Human had brought my Creatures back again but my Human said that it my was turn to visit the healing person. Mol. My Creatures are quite well known at the front desk since they visit so often, mol.

Thanksgiving was a feast in my kingdom. The Humans had turkey and roast beef and chicken and stuffing and sweet potato and soup. I had some chicken and turkey. My Human gave me a few pieces, much to my dismay. I meowed for more but my Human said that too much would make my blood glucose levels rise too high. Hmph. My Creatures feasted on baked sweet potato and chestnut. They did not particularly like the chestnut this time, perhaps because they were slightly burnt.

Today my Creatures went to see their special healing person. They were disappointed that their favorite healing person was not there. Perhaps she went away for the holiday. The special healing person has a cold and was not feeling very well but she still examined my Creatures. Bertie Bott's teeth do not need to be trimmed but he does have a wound on his scent gland again. This time the wound was open and red and the special healing person noticed it. She prescribed Bertie Bott some medicine to take to prevent the wound from becoming infected. I hope Bertie Bott lets the wound heal. If the wound does not close the special healing person will have to suture it close, something she is afraid of doing because Bertie Bott is old and may have complications from anesthesia, much like how Bernie had seizures after he had his teeth trimmed.

Bernie ended up having a quick check. My Human looked at his teeth and noticed that he had chipped a tooth. She told the special healing person who looked at Bernie's teeth and scolded him. The special healing person said that my Creatures cause too much trouble for my Human and that they are very lucky to have a Human who keeps them healthy.

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day to all my Friends! I hope everyone will have some turkey today. I will get some turkey for dinner in addition to turkey and giblet canned food. Merrick makes a Thanksgiving Day Dinner canned food but unfortunately I do not like that brand of food. Perhaps I will get some chicken, too.

My Creatures are patiently waiting for some plain baked sweet potato and roasted chestnut. Those are their favorite treats.

Bernie and Bertie Bott will be visiting their special healing person tomorrow. It will be the fourth time they have visited the special healing person this month. Bertie Bott needs his teeth trimmed. Bernie will go along as always to keep Bertie Bott company and to visit with the special healing person and healing assistant.

I will visit a new healing person on Saturday. My Human will be taking me to the same healing place as my Creatures to visit with a diabetes specialist. I will also have my shots done and have a check up. My Creatures tell me that I will enjoy the healing place and the healing people there very much.

Bertie Bott is quite the trouble maker. The special healing person looked at Bertie Bott's scent gland yesterday and found a healing scabby thing. It was not red and sore like it was on Saturday. Methinks Bertie Bott just picked at his scent gland to make my Human worry about him so she could take him to the special healing person. Bernie also went along to visit the special healing person. The special healing person is glad that Bernie has not had another seizure.

*Sigh* Now Bertie Bott needs purrs. He has a wound on his scent gland. My Human noticed that Bertie Bott was picking at his scent gland so she took a look at it. The wound is red and sore but not bleeding. My Human made an appointment with the special healing person for Thursday. I hope the wound does not get infected before then.

My Creature has not had a seizure since yesterday morning. I hope that is a good sign. Perhaps the seizures were a one time thing. At least, that is what my Human hopes. Right now Bernie is sleeping with Bertie Bott. Bernie is breathing quite fast compared to Bertie Bott. I wish there was some way that Bernie could have his heart fixed.

Bernie's Get Well thread

My Human has made a decision on Bernie. It was a veryhard decision to make but my Human feels it is what's best for my little Creature. My Human will keep Bernie comfortable at home until it is his time to go to the Bridge. Bernie's fragile body will not be able to handle anesthesia and testing and medicine very well so my Human does not want to put him through all that, even though she very much wants Bernie to be well again.

Update on Bernie

My Human took Bernie to the healing place again yesterday. The special healing person examined Bernie and found that Bernie has an irregular heart beat that may be causing the seizures. There are tests that can be done to confirm the diagnosis but Bernie is very old and anesthesia may be too much for him. My Human has not decided on what to do for Bernie yet. For now she will monitor Bernie at home and keep the special healing person updated on Bernie's condition.

More purrs and squeaks needed!

Bernie gave my Human another scare. He lay on the floor of his dwelling and started thrashing around. My Human took the top of the dwelling off to examine Bernie. Bertie Bott went to examine Bernie, too. Bernie stopped thrashing around soon after my Human touched him. My Human will take Bernie to the healing place soon. The special healing people know that Bernie will be arriving soon. I hope the special healing people can heal my Creature!

Purrs and squeaks needed

This has not been a very good week for my Human or us. First, on Halloween night I decided to pull a prank and become hypoglycemic (low blood sugar in diabetic cats). It was only very mild hypoglycemia and my blood level was not too too low. My Human noticed that I kept waking back and forth to my bowls but I would not eat or drink and I would lie on the floor and not move. She tested my blood and found that my blood glucose level was low. My Human knew that my blood glucose levels would continue to drop for the next 3 hours before they rise again so she quickly fed me some canned food to raise my blood glucose levels. My Human tested me again an hour later and my blood glucose level was more normal. She fed me some more canned food to keep my blood glucose levels from dropping. I feel fine now. I am glad that my Human was able to notice my odd behavior and treat me right away before I showed more serious signs of hypoglycemia. I am glad that I did not have to go to the healing place to be treated.

Bernie was not so lucky last night. He went to the healing place because he was ill. My Human noticed that Bernie was foaming at the mouth and in a corner of the dwelling by himself. My Norbert the Mouse showed these signs when he had a very bad seizure. My Human took Bernie to the healing place. Bertie Bott went along to keep Bernie company. I will let Bertie Bott write what happened at the healing place.

Squeaks, an emergency healing person took a look at Bernie. She noticied the foaming and the lack of activity. I was scurrying around the travelling dwelling, The healing person looked into Bernie's mouth to check for anything that might be stuck inside. Bernie did not like it very much and squirmed. The healing person did not see anything inside of Bernie's mouth other than teeth and a tongue *giggles* The healing person was not familiar with Creatures so she could not tell what might be wrong with Bernie. She said that Bernie could stay at the healing place overnight in a special oxygen tank but I would not be allowed to stay. I did not want to be separated from Bernie. Our Human decided to take Bernie home and call our special healing person in the morning.

At home, Bernie would not sleep in the nest I fluffed up for him. He stayed in a corner. I eventually managed to coax him into the nest. I snuggled up to Bernie to keep him warm. Our Human spent all night checking on Bernie to make sure he was ok.

Bernie seems ok now. I hope our special healing person can see us today and make Bernie feel better.

Update: My Human just talked with the special healing person. The special healing person thinks Bernie may have a respiratory problem, a heart problem, or a seizure. It is likely not the heart because the special healing person listened to Bernie's heart on Sunday. The special healing person wants my Human to monitor Bernie and to call her back if Bernie becomes ill again.

Bernie is certianly a troublemaker. He gave my Human a scare this morning. My Human took out my Creature's bowl to refill with more food. Bertie Bott was awake and moving about the dwelling. Usually Bernie is awake too but not this morning. He was still in the nest. My Human gave the food bowl to Bertie Bott and then poked Bernie to wake him up. Bernie did not move. My Human, fearing Bernie was ill or worse, took the lid off the dwelling and picked Bernie up. Bernie sleepily looked at my Human and bruxed. My Human, relieved that Bernie was ok and just sleepy, scolded Bernie and put him back into the dwelling. Bernie slowly scurried to Bertie Bott and then went back to the nest to sleep some more. He did not eat, which is unusual for him. My Human worried about Bernie all day. The first thing my Human did when she got home was to make sure my Creatures were ok. She took Bernie out and checked him. Bernie is fine. My Creatures have an appointment with their special healing person on Sunday. I hope they can remain well and out of trouble for a few more days.

Entry for Mission Impawsible:

I, Merlin the Cat Wizard have been selected to participate in a highly secret mission initiated by Agent Cat-o-Lantern. The mission is a formidable one but one that will help felines dominate the world.

All the agents are in training right now for their respective specialities. My specialty is chemistry. I am to find the enemy's secret poitions and figure out what the specific formula is so it can be used to our advantage. As I am a cat wizard, chemistry is not very had for me. I must work on taking poitions apart and learning what secrets are inside. I must also learn the finer points of poition making.

Hehe. I apaprated just now :) My Human is sitting in front of the computer doing that "web surfing" thing. She just turned around to go look for me and saw me sleeping on the floor. My Human did not hear me come in the room. She thought I was still napping on the sofa. I was there just minutes ago but I decided to keep my Human company so I apparated myself off the sofa and into my Human's room. I must apparate more often. Mol.

My newest skill

I have learned to apparate. Mol. I have been trying for some time now but it was not until the other day that I was able to completely apparate. I meowed at my Human's door late at night wanting to be let in so my Human let me in and closed the door and went back to bed. She fell back asleep until some time later when she heard me meowing again. She got out of bed and looked for me but I was not in the room. My Human opened the door and looked in the hallway and there I was lying in front of the bathroom door. My Human does not know how I got out of the room when the door was closed. I am very proud of myself for learning to apparate so I did not have to bother my Human to be let out of the room, mol.

The Dungeon

I was locked in the Dungeon today. Someone left the door to the Dungeon open and I went exploring. The Dungeon is very dark and cold and filled with boxes and many things the Dragon has collected over 30 years or so and will not throw away even if it is broken. After exploring the Dungeon, I went back up the stairs to see if I could explore the attic. That is when I noticed that the door to go back inside my kingdom was closed. I pawed at the door but it would not open. I meowed but no one came to let me in. I waited and waited for signs of Humans inside. After a very long time, I heard my Human come home. I usually greet my Human when she comes home but, of course, I could not today. My Human got worried when she did not see me and went looking for me, thinking perhaps I was not feeling well because of my diabetes. She called for me and I meowed. My Human followed my meow to the Dungeon door and opened it. I hurried back into my kingdom. My Human picked me up and comforted me and gave me some treats to eat. My Human thinks it was the Dragon who closed the Dungeon door not knowing that I was exploring down there. My Human is thinking of putting a cat door in the Dungeon door so if the door is ever closed while I am out exploring, I can still come back into my kingdom and not have to wait for a Human to let me in.
