Lots of news to share!

Well, hello from New Mexico! I have been having fun up here at the main house after leaving in the bunkhouse for 4 years. I have a great tree in the back that I love to climb and hang out in during the day. Mistress has lots of pretty birds in her yard and I am not to bother them!! Mistress loves all her birds, but really loves her hummingbirds. I enjoy sitting on the deck and watching my adopted sister "Lady Bug" chasing lizards and bugs. She is so funny!! I seem to be slowing down a little, not as quick as I use to be. I love to sit in the windows and "soak" up the sunshine. Patti & Patches, Master's dogs, like to chase me if I run, but they really are sweet and kind dogs. I just don't really like dogs!! Meow to everyone until next time.

Allie Jane's latest news!

Well, meow to everyone! I have been lazy lately. Since the move up to the "Main House", it has been quite busy. I now go outside quite a bit and enjoy it. There are birds to watch and talk to (mistress doesn't want me to get her hummers), and a little rabbit that comes every night to eat grass (I watch her out the window as mistress says "nothing good happens to cats after dark if they are outside"). Lately I have been drinking a lot of water and haven't been very hungry. I heard mistress say she was thinking of calling the vet for a visit. She is going to watch my friend Lady Bug and see if she is drinking a lot also. I surely love being here and not down at the "bunkhouse". We have much more fun. Well, hope everyong has a very happy day.

Hello from Allie Jane

It has been quite a long time since I posted an entry. My how times flies. I have been living in the "bunk-house" for about four years now. I am quite content and like being alone, although I dearly miss my friend Duke who left me for the Rainbow Bridge. I know he had to go, as he was getting older and I am so glad that he did not get sick and suffer, he just went away on one of his big adventures and forgot to come home. I miss him daily! I have two big windows that I lay in and watch the world go by. They give me lots of sunshine and I can watch the new little calves running and playing. Also Mr. Sweets, the resident barn cat, comes to visit me almost every day. He loves to come in the bunk-house when the mistress leaves the screen door open for me to come and go as I please. Mr. Sweets is a big yellow tabby cat that patrols and is head of Bunk-House Security. He loves Patti and Patches, the master's cow dogs, but I have never been too friendly with them.
It is getting late, so I will write again soon. Love and kisses to my dearest Duke. Miss you!!!

Back to Texas

I'm coming back to Texas today, and I'm none too eager to return. I LOVED being the ONLY New Mexico cat and having all the time with my parent's (Whisk's mistress' folks) by myself. I'm pouting all the way home in protest...I WANT TO BE A NM CAT! I miss chasing the lizards and exploring new smells! I hope the rest of my family will be glad to see me...I can't wait to tell Whiskers about my adventures...I guess coming home isn't all that bad. I'll have to write and catch you up on all my adventures soon.

Going On A Trip!

Well, meow hello to everyone! I have been hearing my mistress talking about going on a trip! I really don't like riding in the pick-up truck, but I sure don't want mistress going off for several weeks without me. Mistress says that the trip will take all day and I have to stay inside for a few days until I am "use" to the new place. I am a little scared, but kind of excited also! Will write more when I know I am really going! Meow good night to all my friends!

Allie and Clean Clothes!

Such a day! Fun, Fun, Fun!! My mistress cleaned house and worked out in the yard, so I had a great time helping her fold clothes!!! Everytime she would get a clean load out of the dryer and put them on the bed to fold...I was there! Some time mistress hangs them out on the line and boy do they smell good! She and I played "clean clothes" and had a great time. She is so Fun. I am worn out with all that playing, so I am going to find my favorite nite, nite spot. Meow good night!

Hiding From The Storm!

We had a very bad storm last night, I was so glad to be inside, but I was so scared when it was all happening that I hid under the table. Whiskers James was inside with me, but we were worried about Duke and Tiger. Our Mistress called and called for them to come, but the wind was so strong and the rain was coming down in buckets (that is what my master said). The thunder scared me the most! After it was all over my family went outside to see about the damage . Duke was so sad as his favorite climbing tree lost two big branches. Duke told me about the birds and how mistress said he absolutely could not take advantage of the poor wet things. Duke said that he really didn't care if they were poor or wet, they still looked pretty good to him! But, he said that he loved his mistress and would not get the birds this time! I told him that he was very kind as I know how he loves chasing birds. After Tiger Renee finally came home, everyone was happy and we all spent the night inside. I sure hope we don't have any more storms for awhile. Meow and purrs to everyone and goodnight!

Tuesday in Texas!

Well, Meow and hello to all my new friends! I have had a great meow day! After watching the sun come up and waiting for my mistress to "greet the day", I patrolled the yard and garden, making sure no one had picked the new ripe tomatoes! The grass was wet and cool on my paws and it felt wonderful! Duke, my adopted brother, was on the porch checking to see if the "master" had gotten up to put fresh kitty food in our dish and after a while, Tiger Renee, my adopted sister, came from her "sleeping place" to wait with us for the fresh food. Finally, "master" came out and we all had breakfast together! Duke decided to do "Duke things", without me, and sister Tiger Renee wanted to take a little nap, so I decided to finish checking out things in the yard. The birds were out hopping around, and I found lots of little insects to chase. "Mistress" wanted me to come sit on her lap while she had coffee, but I just really wanted to chase things. Around noon, I decided to go inside where it was cool, curled up on my favorite sleeping spot, and slept the afternoon away. It is now evening here in Texas, and we are all outside sitting in the cool! Whiskers James is feeling better and I am glad since we are "buds", so he and I are enjoying the cool grass. Duke and Tiger Renee are here with us too. I love having all of my family close. So, till next time...have a Meow wonderful evening. Good night to all my great friends!!
