Kitty Strep Throat?

This afternoon was a little traumatic. My mistress and grands took me to visit the doctor. As much as I hate to go, I'm sure glad we made the trip. The only other time my mistress has taken me to the vet was when I was a young girl cat and had special surgery. Other than getting my annual check-up, I've been fairly healthy.

My family has noticed that I haven't been eating much this week, and I think I've lost a pound or two. When I try to eat, I just cant...it hurts too much and sometimes I just spit my food back out...is this too much information?

Well, my doctor is sooooo nice and sooooo gentle. I didn't have a temperature, but she took some blood. This means she had to shave some of the hair under my chin...I was a good girl, though. She also gave me a couple of shots and gave my family some antibiotics for me the next few days - yes, all we cats know about the pink stuff, don't we?!

Ivy is the doctor's dog...she's the unofficial greeter, and I was glad to see a friendly, furry face. She recommended some Science Diet food that is really soft. When we got home, my family fixed the food for me, and it was so soft it melted in my mouth. Boy, it was so good, and I ate more than I'd eaten the past week. The back of my mouth and throat are a little sore, and the doctor said we would know my diagnosis tomorrow night.

Allie is coming home!

Allie Jane will arrive home this evening, and I am glad! At least now I won't be the only female (except for my mistress) in the house...these man cats can get a little overwhelming - no offense Duke and Whisk, I love you guys! Allie keeps me feeling young, and when I look at her, I see a hint of my youthful times...we kinda look alike, don't you think?! Welcome home Allie! :)

Playing tricks!

Hello to all my friends! I sure like to play tricks on the neighbor's dogs! I like to go out to their pen and make them bark and bark. I know that they can't get out, so it is so funny to watch them bark and run around trying to get me. Dogs drool and Cats rule!!!!Soft meows to everyone!

Not much going on today in Texas....just was kind of a sleepy time. It was so warm outside...perfect sleeping weather...which I did...most of the day! But oh well....I can! My mistress says that I can do what ever I want! Soft Meows to everyone!

Scary, Scary Night!

Well, this old cat really had a night last evening. I was just sitting in the drive watching Duke check out some birds in the neighbor's yard, when all of a sudden it started to rain. I didn't think too much about it until it started coming down harder. I was not very close to my house, so I ran under a big bush out by the "goose-neck" trailer, thinking I wouldn't get very wet. Well, let me tell you we had a STORM! I was so scared, I could hear my mistress calling, I could hear Duke talking, but I was not about to move from under the bush. The wind was awful, the rain kept pouring down until my fur was totally wet from head to tail! It seemed like forever until the rain stopped and as soon as I could see my house, I ran like I never before. It was so good to be inside. Duke, Allie Jane, Whiskers and myself all decided we would spend the night inside. I am thinking that I will spend several days in my favorite sleeping spot inside to rest up from all the excitement. Soft meows to everyone and goodnight!

Tiger Renee's Day!

Quiet Meow to all my new friends. It is fun having so many friends! It has been a rather lazy day here in Texas....so hot, I didn't do much work. ....I think even the mice were hot and lazy! Took a nap after breakfast and then decided to check to see what Duke, Allie Jane and Whiskers were up to!! Duke was doing "Duke things" as usual, Allie Jane was chasing bugs (ugh) and Whiskers was just hanging around! Whiskers has really been under the weather, so he hasn't been out and about as usual. He is better now, and I am so glad. Things were a little dull, so I decided to go inside where it was cool about lunch time. Allie Jane was in and sleeping in her favorite spot, so I found a dark spot and spent the rest of the afternoon. It is now cool here, so we are all just laying around in the cool grass with the family. I am getting sleepy, so good night to all my new friends (yawn), and pleasant dreams about nice fat mice!
