Arrival Story:
When I was a child, I had a book called "The Tiny Tawny Kitten". When I first moved out of my Mom's house to my own apartment, I wanted my own pet. I went to the pet store - and there he was - the Tiny Tawny Kitten! He was left with his brothers and sisters at a pet store. He was only 1 pound and very young. I honestly think that he believes me to be his mother because he was so small when I got him. We have a very, very special bond.

Bio:
Tawny is big, and yes a little on the chunky side. He eats like a horse. But, when he was about a year old, the vet was looking at his coloration, and she told me that one of his markings is not that of your standard American Shorthair. He has the classic M on his forehead, but there is a stripe that goes down his back to his shoulders where a faint "kite" shape can be seen, and then it trails to the tip of his tail. We like to think of him as our own little Mountain Lion. Tawny is only affectionate to his Mama. He is in control of the dog, who literally will lay down and let the cat have right of way, he is in charge of our femal cat Cupcake, who only will eat after he goes first. My friends call him "the mean orange cat". He is neither orange or mean (well at least to me). I wish people could see his "softer side".
