Daddy's Home for Good

Meow!

I was so excited and happy, I almost forgot to tell everyone! My daddy's home again! He got home a few months ago, okay, about 6 months ago...I told you I forgot! He had to finish his hike early which was kind of...what's that big word my mommy used...oh,yeah, bittersweet, but I'm glad he's home. You can read all about it at this place (www.wheresronnow.com) because it's too long a story to tell here.

Anyways, meow, it's time for my nap again so I'm gonna go.

Off again, on again!

Well my daddy is back out hiking again! He left just a few days ago. Just when I get used to him hanging around again, he leaves!

He had to come home this summer because my grandmom passed away. It was very sad. So daddy came home for 2 months after that. But, things are all better now and he's gone away. He won't be going all the way to Maine this year, but he is going to make it to the halfway point. That's 1000 miles walked! I don't think I could ever walk that far, especially on 3 legs!

We all are going to miss him here at home, but mom is still around and she lets me get away with lots of stuff that dad wouldn't.

So, that's it for now. It's getting late and I think I need to go nap!

An update on my daddy

Meow!

Well, my daddy has been gone almost a month now, and I miss him. He's been out walking. Mommy says he's already walked out of someplace called Georgia and into someplace called North Carolina. From what I can tell, he's walked a lot!

He's doing good though. I know because mommy gets to talk to him now and again, and she lets me know. One time, I even got to say hello to him on the telephone. He knew it was me right away!

He's been sending us pictures too. You can see them if you want to. My mom posted them so anyone can see. In fact, there's all kinds of information on my daddy and all his walking there too!

If you go to www.wheresronnow.com (Ron, that's my daddy), you can see all his pictures and keep track of where he is. That's what me and my sisters have been doing. It makes missing him not so bad.

Well, talking about all that walking has got me tired. I think it's time for a nap.

Daddy's going bye bye!

Hi Everyone!

This is my first diary entry, isn't that cool!? Something very special is happening in my life right now, and I wanted to share it with everyone, and what better way than here in my diary?!

My daddy is leaving soon, like in a couple of weeks, but it's a good thing. He is going to hike the Appalachian Trail. I'm not sure what that is, but I know that he'll be gone for a very long time. That means that me and my sisters, and those noisy, old birds that live here too, will be all alone with Mommy until he gets back.

I guess it's a long, long way to walk because mommy says he won't be back until September. Wow! I wanted to go with him, but he thought it would be better if I stayed here seeing as I'm top cat and all.

I'll really miss him, but what's really cool is that he made a website to tell everyone all about his walk. And my daddy is so neat because he isn't only going to walk all that way, but he's going to raise money for some very special kids here in town. They are disabled kids just like me. Isn't that something?! All the money daddy gets will help all those kids!
