Arrival Story:
Terence became Jaffa's foster dad when she was with the Indigo Cat Rescue. Jaffa is a former stray and a special needs cat, FIV+. After taking her to many adoption days at local pet stores and so on, she was still not adopted. After many months, Terence could no longer part with her and became her official guardian. He has had her since December 1998.
Bio:
FIV is Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, similar to HIV in humans. Jaffa is indoor-only and on special medication due to her illness. She no longer has any teeth, because of her body's inability to fight off gingivitis and other infections. The vet is very impressed with how well she's done since adoption for an FIV+ cat. She has a typical wild, feisty torti personality. She is one of the happiest cats you'll ever meet and purrs at the slightest provocation. Jaffa has been through several medical scares but always pulled through to be amazingly happy and healthy. Jaffa has two large tags because she is special needs. One is red and has a medical logo on one side; the other side says "FIV+ / Indoor Only / Needs Medication Daily". The other tag is two-sided. One has her name, home address and phone number. The other side says "If I'm outside, I'm lost".

Eulogy:
Jaffa passed away January 25th, 2007. She burned so brightly and touched so many people. I will never forget her. Her eulogy can be found here.
