I remember the day I met my Granny. Everyone else here calls her "Mom", but my Mom is that little girl I sleep with every night. I LOVE her! Granny's not so bad either. I also love my little boy, but he's kind of crazy, and that big guy they call Dad? Scary! He's too loud!
Anyway, I was hangin' around the UDF store hoping to get a sample of ice cream. The people there thought I was cute, but all they gave me were overcooked hot dogs. Of course I ate them, are you kidding? People would come and go at the store, and I'd give them my best sweet kitty expression, but nobody seemed to care. Then granny came along! She petted me and talked all sweet to me! When she went to walk away, I knew I couldn't let that happen so I jumped up and she caught me! I was in kitty bliss! But then she left!
But she came back! She called me over and I came running! She opened her car door and of course I jumped right in. She took me down the street, gave me a really good meal, and showed me a spot on the back deck where I could snuggle into a box for the night. That was a lot better than what I had before, so I decided to stay. The next day she took me to the doctor for a checkup, and ever since then I've been a happy indoor guy. Aren't I lucky?
I spend most of my time on the second floor, either in mom's or granny's bedrooms. Sometimes I come down to look out the front window and chatter at the birds and chipmunks. I get along with all the other kitties here except Angelica, because she's a little bit too crazy! And that Daisy, she's nice and all, but all she wants to do is give me a bath. I can do that myself, thanks!
There were three different cats when I first came to this house, and they told me about the one who'd crossed over before I arrived, J.C. They all missed him. There was Spookie, Merlin, and Bandit. They were all pretty old, but after a little while, they seemed to accept me okay. Spookie was a friend of Grandpa's, Merlin loved Granny the best, so I figured my best spot was with the little girl.
And I was right! She's so nice to me. I love it here.
