Defending Fort Kitty-Cat: I cut windows in a large cardboard box and place it upside down over Toby. Then I attack the Fort with anything with along handle. Toby plays rough! He also plays Toby Tollbooth, blocking the door till he gets a tummy scratch

Toby despises an empty food dish, and will yowl non-stop till the dish is filled again.

My boyfriend's foot.
Favorite Nap Spot:
The very center of whereever I am about to sit or lay down.
Favorite Food:
Bacon. Toby will sit on a stepstool in the kitchen, watching me fry the bacon. If I am too slow getting it to him he will stomp off and pout.

Yes. He is the one person who can always cause me to laugh, and he always comes to me when I am feeling sad.

Arrival Story:
I helped him be born from my pet calico, Miss Amanda Garfield the second. Mandycat was a small cat, and Toby was a very large kitten that got stuck while he was being born. He was not breathing when he finally got born, so I gave some kittycat CPR. It worked! I have always thought of Toby more as a child than an animal. I very much wish that cats had longer lives, and regret the idea that I will probably have to outlive my little catboy.
Bio:
Toby was Mandycat's favorite kitten. Mandycat used Toby as her babysitter for subsequent litters while the kittens were still too small to be left alone. Mandycat was an ace mouser,and would go hunting daily on our ranch. Before she left each night, she would carry the nursing kittens over to Toby, and he would make a little kitten corral with his forelegs and paws. Toby would watch over and groom Mandycat's kittens till she returned from hunting. Mandycat always rewarded Toby with a little mouse tidbit for kittensitting.
