Can you believe it??

MEOW!!!! I woke up this morning to the great news that I was picked to be Cat of the Day today! What an honor! Mommy says my picture is right out there on the Catster home page for everyone to see! Thank you Catster for picking me! And thank you to all the kitties out there that have sent me such nice messages today! I've even made some new friends today! And thanks so much to Benjamin, Oliver, and Salem for the Rosettes! Very sweet of them! =)

Well have a great day everyone! I have to go strut my stuff for Grayson and Rusty now and make sure they know just how special I am!! *winks*

I'm the Winner of the Playful Category!!!

MEEEEOWWWWW!!!

I can't believe it! Mommy told me that I won the Playful Category in the World's Coolest Dog and Cat Show Contest! What an HONOR!! There were so many wonderful pictures entered.....how did those judges ever pick just one!?!

First, I want to thank everybody out there again that voted for me to help get me to the Finals!! Then I want to thank everyone that voted for me in the Finals! Of course I have to give the JUDGES a great big THANK YOU for picking me as the Playful Category Winner!!! PURRRRRS to the JUDGES!! And THANKS to the great folks at Catster/Dogster for putting on such a FUN contest!! Can't wait til next year's contest!! And SPECIAL THANKS to the SPONSERS of the contest for all the cool prizes!!!

I also want to say congratulations to ALL the Winners in the Contest!! And say that we are all winners in my book (contest or not)! Catster is the coolest place in the world for us cats to hang out!!

Oh yeah! Mommy bought me a pretty purple collar with shiny sparkly rhinestones on it for being her little star!! She said she is going to take a picture of me with it on and put it up on my page very soon for everyone to see!! It is so beautiful! Rusty and Grayson are jealous of it!! So I told them that I will share my catnip balls with them when my prizes arrive!!

Well, thanks again everyone! I am truly honored!! Must go run some more laps around the house now to wear some of my excitement energy off!

I just got some more exciting news from the great folks at Catster!! My diary is one of Today's Featured Diaries on the Diary Central page under 'Today's Picks'!! How sweeeeet is that!!

So I'd like to wish everyone out there a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

May all you kitties get your own little bowl of turkey and ham and all the fixins!! Kitty-size portions of course! We still need to watch our little kitty figures and don't need to over-do it!! Meow!!

Stitches Out

Hi there!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am feeling much much better now after my spay surgery. I got to go back to the vet yesterday to get my stitches out and my belly has healed quite well. Doesn't look like I will have much of a scar at all! My fur is starting to grow back, but very slowly. It feels funny now and gets a little cold sometimes.

Rusty got to ride with me to the vet to get my stitches out. Mommy wanted them to see us together and weigh us. I weigh a whole 7 lbs (which is more that we thought I'd weigh) and Rusty is right at 11 lbs (which we really thought he would weigh more than that). He looks and feels so much heavier than me, but then his hair is longer than mine too, which probably accounts for him looking so much bigger (and fluffier). The vet techs couldn't believe we were litter mates though, because we look so different and there is such a big difference in our size.

But anyway, it's nice to be back to my old self again, and I am allowed to play with Rusty and Grayson now too. We've been running laps in the house this morning playing tag and hide-and-seek! The dogs are outside playing in the leaves, so we look out the window and check on them once in awhile too.

Well, gotta get back to playing with the boys!!!!!

My 'Gettin-Fixed' Surgery

Well, I'm not too happy about all this, but Mommy said it will be good for me in the long run. She took me to the Vet's office yesterday in a crate in the car. It was my first real ride in the car and it was a little bit scary, but nothing compared to what was yet to come........

When we got to the clinic, she took me out of the crate and gave me some snuggles and kisses, while she talked to these strange people that I didn't know. Then, she put me back in my crate with my blanky and handed me over to the one she called "Doc". As he was taking me away, I saw Mommy walking to the door and I let out a loud "MEEEEOOOOOOOW". Mommy turned back and said "It'll be ok Emily, I'll see you tomorrow" and then the man took me to the back.

The "Doc" told Mommy that I was a good little kitty through the whole thing. I don't really remember much of what happened because I slept most of the time. When I did wake up, my tummy was cold and when I licked it, it felt funny. Apparently, they had to shave all the fur off my whole tummy so they could do the operation. Now, I have a bare tummy and there are some strings tied in knots in my tummy. Mommy said they are called stitches and they will have to come out in about 10 days. She said we will have to go back to the clinic to get them taken out, but she PROMISED me that she wouldn't leave me there again all night for that. Thank goodness!

Mommy brought me back home today and now I have to stay in a pen for a couple of days until I feel a better. She made it all nice and comfy for me though. And it is plenty enough room for me right now since I don't feel like moving around a whole lot yet. She put my litterbox in there and I also have my bed and blankies too. She left me some food and water, but I really don't feel like eating just yet. She left it for me though so it would be there when I do feel like eating.

I know that my friend Tyler (the dog) must have missed me because he has been coming over and laying down beside me right outside my pen. Mommy caught us rubbing noses through the mesh earlier and she said it was really sweet that Tyler was worried about me. I have to admit, he is pretty nice to me.......for being a dog and all. I haven't got to see Grayson and Rusty yet though, because Mommy is making them stay in her bedroom (aka the cat room) until I feel better. And really that is ok by me. I do miss them, but I know they will want to play with me, and I just don't feel up to that yet.

Mommy has gotten me out of the crate a few times to snuggle me, which I really really like. But I still feel like sleeping alot right now too, so she doesn't take me out for very long. She said that for some reason, that I didn't even notice, but, I guess now I am kneading my bedding alot. She said that I've never done that before, until tonight. I guess I might just be having a hard time getting comfortable right now and have to get my blanky all situated just right before I can lay down to sleep. I guess Mommies must just pick up on little things like that.

Well, I've had a long couple of days, so I am gonna go nighty-night. I will let you all know how I am doing again in a day or two......

Growing Pains

Hi ya'll!

Guess what?! I just lost my first 2 baby teeth. Mommy found them on the floor so she looked in my mouth and saw that 2 of my fangs are gone! She put them in a little baggy with my name on it to put in her keepsake box. She says that I am growing up too fast and before long I will be a Big Girl. I don't think I'm ready to grow up just yet. I still have alot of kitten left in me. But I am ready for some big teeth that I can chew better with. I told Mommy not to worry, that I will always be her baby girl. Gotta get back to running through the house now and getting Tyler the dog all worked up!
