She is still a kitten, but has been working on learning to fly, and running upside down hanging from the mattress under my bed, and she will someday be an accomplished fly chaser/catcher

Arrival Story:
Emily is 1 of 9 kittens I rescued from a shed behind my house. She was 6-8 weeks old when I found her and her 2 brothers (Rusty is one of them). When the other litter of 6 was weaned at about 5 weeks old, I took Emily and her brothers away from their mama too.
Bio:
Emily was THE kitten I picked to keep out of the 2 litters that I rescued from the shed out back. I ended up keeping her brother, Rusty, too though (see his page for his story!). She was a little timid at first, since I didn't find her litter until they were already weaned. But it didn't take her long to get used to being a house kitty. Emily is very energetic and curious and gets into mischief quite often. She is not afraid of the dogs, unless they bark in her ear. She has really taken to Tyler (our new dog) and they are fast becoming best friends. She will actually wrestle with him and chase him around! She also loves to play tag with Rusty and she will pounce Grayson every once in awhile when she gets really wound up. Emily has become quite affectionate lately as she has gotten a little older and she follows me around all the time now and has to be in whatever room I am in. She likes to sit on the edge of the bathtub when I am in the shower and she bats at the shower curtain at the water running down it (so now I have a nicely perforated shower curtain!). She has even jumped in the tub a few times while I was showering! She also likes to play in the water in the sink when I leave it on a little for her. She has quite a little personality developing already! When she gets all wound up, she runs laps through the house and bounces off the furniture and the walls. There is a Winnie the Pooh book on the end table that has the little buttons you can push that make different sounds. She loves to get on the table and make the sounds on the book by stepping on them! That really drives Tyler nuts!! Emily is a really pretty little kitty with very striking features. Her nose is dark pink and outlined in black. Her mouth is also outlined in black. Em's front feet are dark with one light colored toe (so her front pads are black with 1 pink toe pad). Her back feet are light colored with one dark toe (so her back pads are pink with 1 black toe pad). She has dark spots on her light colored belly with 2 small orange spots. And the tip of her tail is black. She is also very tiny and petite. Her brother Rusty is already twice as big as her. Maybe she just hasn't had her growth spurt yet like he did! She is just such a great little kitty! So glad I kept her!!
