Silver Tabby

They're only a week and a half old, so they mainly love to eat and sleep.NOW FIVE WEEKS! the kitties love their new "Kitty Condo" although only the girls have learned to climb it. They love my Christmas sock that has bells on it, and a fat wool "mouse"

They hate it when Mama leaves "the nest"!

Favorite Toy:

Favorite Nap Spot:
They're too little to leave "the nest"- which is under Keith's nightstand. AFTER FIVE WEEKS they sleep wherever they last nursed (IE anywhere on the floor where Mama Stars left them!)

Favorite Food:
Mama Food. FIVE WEEKS Now the girls have discovered Mama Stars' food bowls and they use a tiny little cat box, too!

AT FIVE WEEKS Skoal can and will try anything first, the rest follow. Sarge comes running just to sit in my lap . Scamp has a tiny "peep", Spot is fuzzy and loves his Mama the most!

Arrival Story:
Stars gave birth on July 11. My husband had just got out of bed to start the coffee, when Stars jumped up on the bed (VERY out of character) and stood on my my chest while I was still asleep. I later realized that she was telling me that "It's time!!" I thought that she had to go to the catbox, so I put her in it. Duh! She didn't go, so I went back to bed. Funny sounds came from under the bedside table. Snap, Crackle and Pop! We had babies!

We lost one baby at birth, sadly, to a birth defect. We tried to save him, but we had to take him to the vet because he didn't look "OK". He had a hernia (due to inbreeding which apparantly can happen with adopted pregnant strays). The vet at Woodland Veterinary Hospital was very kind and put him down immediately. We had him for less than two hours but we still loved him. His name was "Stripe". PS I can't really tell yet, but I think we have two boys and two girls. FIVE WEEK UPDATE W/ NEW PICS! These babies are so smart and cute...I don't think I'll be able to part with them! But I'd hate to think what it would be like to clean the catboxes of NINE cats...probably worth it, though. Skoal...she is the black one = adventurous genius. Sarge, she has stripes on her arms= well, hmmm...okay...ALSO adventurous genius who is already a lap cat! Spot, the fuzzy boy with the most white fur= "Mama's Boy" with long fur and huge paws, fat belly. And last but not least, is Scamp, looks like Mama Cat= quiet little "peep", will fall asleep in my hand, the sweetest boy.
