Arrival Story: I noticed Mia wandering in my neighborhood on Sunday evening (7/10/05). She was very friendly and came to me immediately so I figured she belonged to a neighbor. But she was (is) incredibly thin so I decided to feed her and keep an eye on her. As I was petting her I realized she was a nursing mom, so it became my mission to find where she was hiding her babies. I found them Thursday evening (7/14/05) and they've all been living in my bathroom ever since. I know I'm just attributing human qualities to a cat, but I could swear Mia gave me several looks of relief and gratitude those first couple of days she was in my house, safe, with all four kittens sucking on her belly.
Bio: My friend helped me name them. Once we had both thought of the name Mia (at the same time . . . kinda spooky), we decided to call her Mamma Mia and go with the ABBA theme to name the kittens. **Mia was adopted 2/20/06 by a woman with an 8-year-old DSH named Hailey.
