Sitting in the cat room, surrounded by meowing felines, little Gordy was all spread out next to me but hopped up in my lap and just let me pet him and pet him. He purred non-stop, and was just so loveable we couldn't leave him there. He's been happily living with us ever since!

Willikers: An Anthology

An unusual object has appeared in the kitchen tonight. It's taken over the feeding area, and I'm unsure of its origin.

It's big, black and it smells like vittles! But neither Pumpkin, the new addition to the family, nor I can get inside to determine its contents. My instincts tell me it's a feeding machine, and a magic one at that, but little Miss Know-It-All thinks I'm a fool and don't know what I'm talking about.

Anyone else experience a similar device and have any advice at cracking its secrets? Perhaps a secret code or button, or a magic password? I'd be most grateful.

Getting a bit chilly outside in Montana now, it is. I can't help but want to keep wandering outdoors looking for birds and other morsels but goodness! It's enough to freeze a poor chap's paws off!! Guess I better get used to it though, winter is nearly upon us. Oh well. At least that means a Christmas stocking chock full of more furry little mice! Cheerio!

Lap Luxuries

There is nothing quite finer than a well-padded and positioned lap. Especially after a long evening of galavanting about the neighbourhood pouncing on bugs and looking for birds. I prefer a blanketed lap, but have been known to sit on just about every kind of variation. Bare legs, jeans, crossed legs....doesn't matter if I'm in a bit of a snuggly mood. Which I most decidedly am tonight!
