Hermione's Journal

Well, they did it. My mommy and daddy adopted another kitty. She has been hanging around our house for a few weeks. The neighbors saw her first and named her Stormy. She was supposed to belong to the neighbors but daddy kept letting her in the house so she could eat and sit in his lap. I kept hearing mommy tell daddy that "she is not our cat."
She slept over the night that Hurricane Katrina hit and it was downhill from there. Daddy and mommy started talking about how sad it was that she had to be outside. The neighbor daddy is allergic so they can't keep her inside.
So mommy went and talked to the neighbors and now she is here. She has been living here for 8 days now. I saw mommy attack her on Sunday and force her into a carrier. I hoped she was taking her away forever, but she only went to the vet. She was back the same day.
I hate her! She is always sitting on mommy or daddy. Just because I don't want to sit in their laps, doesn't mean she should be able to. She also has been getting in my way when I follow mommy around.
She is too young and wants to play all of the time. She jumps on me and thinks I am playing when I hit her and bite her. I try not to be too rough because she is smaller than me, but she doesn't get the message. Then I have to hiss at her and mommy gets mad.
Mommy keeps telling me that I will get used to Stormy, but I don't think she is right.
