Arrival Story:
My best friend works at a vet clinic, and she saved Oliver when he was born. She hand raised and bottle fed him. He had a severe upper-respiratory infection that just wouldn't go away. Eventually his sniffles subsided. I brought Dolly (my dog) over to play one day. Oliver was perched up on my shoulder and Dolly was all excited trying to play with him. I asked her if she wanted a little brother and she gave me the "can we keep him" look. It was all over from there. We brought Oliver home in July 2005.
Bio:
Oliver has scar tissue in his tear ducts from the uri he had when he was a baby. So he gets goopy eyes a lot, but he's really good at cleaning his face. He is now on eye drops pretty much for life. He hates it, but I always give him good treats after he takes his meds. He loves to horse around with Dolly and Leyna. Sometimes I wonder if he thinks he's a dog!

I always have to be in the bathroom while Mom's getting ready to go out somewhere. I'll rub on her and meow and talk to her the whole time, trying to talk her into staying home.

We had a scary night on Sunday. My mom's roommate has a cat, Meeko. Well, on Sunday, we all noticed that (this may sound a little gross) he had a string hanging out of his butt. Mom held him down while Auntie Kristen pulled it out. You'll never believe this! It was Aunt Kristen's thread with the needle still on it!!! I have absolutely no idea how this poor kitty passed it without hurting himself. We have a miracle kitty on our hands here! Mom and Aunt Kristen were so scared that he may have internal injuries, but the vet said that it doesn't seem like it. He's eating normally, acting normally and he still plays with me, and he's not vomiting or doesn't have any blood in his stool! Talk about lucky!!
Aunt Kristen said that she's going to be extra careful about what she leaves out. If Dolly or I got a hold of it, it could've killed us. Believe me, I snuggled extra close to mom and Dolly that night.

Meeko is Aunt Kristen's (mom's roommate) cat. He is so fun... well now he is anyway. When he and Aunt Kristen moved in, he didn't like me all that much. But he's my buddy now! Mom told me that I'm helping him lose weight (he's a really big boy) 'cause we run around and chase each other all day! Anyway, I think I accidentally hurt his eye or something. He's squinting it all the time. I feel so bad! Mom's not sure if it got hurt while we were playing or what. How much damage can I do? I'm declawed for pete's sake! But anyway, mom and Aunt Kristen got some stuff to put in his eye, now it's starting to get better. It doesn't keep him from playing though! Yay!

So, mom FINALLY put my page together! I didn't think she was ever going to get it done! Dolly's been on Dogster forever! What, am I not special too? Just kidding, I know mom loves me. She wouldn't put up with my "manly ways" if she didn't love me! Heehee! Anyway, I look forward to poking around Catster and see how much trouble I can get into!
