Arrival Story:
My first family could no longer keep me, so they begged my new family to take me in with all their other cats. Mom had never had a declawed cat before, so at first she was very protective of me and wouldn't let me out side. All the other cats got to go out, so I didn't think it was fair! I stared out the windows so much that Mom finally started letting me go outside, just a little bit while she watched me. I showed her that I could handle myself around the dogs and I showed her what a good hunter I was by catching grasshoppers, but she would always make me come back inside after just a little while. One time, I showed her good! I ran and hid and stayed outside for two days and two nights! Mom now lets me go in and out any time I please.

When I don't get my way, I go potty in places I'm not supposed to. My first family gave me away because of this and I ended up with a really good family, so I don't have to go inside very often to make my point.
The other day, I got a sore in my ear. These people held me down and put medicine on it! I peepeed in the middle of the kitchen floor. I haven't had to do any thing like that in a long time.
Well, Mamma didn't seem too upset; she kept saying, "I know your mad, but we're trying to make your ear feel better". It's not any fun to peepee in the wrong place if they're not going to get mad!
Well, they did it again! They put some medicine on my ear! I knew I couldn't make them mad by going potty in the house, so I found a way to upset Mamma!
When Mamma got in the shower, I went outside and got a BIG palmetta bug. I sat it just outside the shower and watched it crawl up the wall just on the edge of the shower. When Mamma opened the curtain, I was sitting right there with my mean look on my face. Mamma was looking at me, so she didn't see the BIG bug until she was stepping out. Then she let out a big scream! HAHAHAHA! I got her good. She better not put any more medicine in my ear!

Mamma's note: Cassie has occassionally brought in grasshoppers or moths. She will meow and brag and want ever one to see it! This time she was just sitting there staring at me with a mean face; I should've known something was up. After I finished jumping around and screaming, she was still sitting there with a smug look on her face. She is a stinker!
Her ear is looking much better so I don't think we'll have to doctor it any more!

Mom and Dad got bit by the spring cleaning bug. They spent ALL day in the bathroom cleaning and cleaning and cleaning. They filled the cat sink with water (one sink in the bathroom is for humans and the other if for cats :-).
I use the human sink - I like only fresh running water! When I am thirsty, I get some one to turn on the water in the human sink so that I can drink straight from the faucet and stick my paw in the running water. If I can't get any one to turn on the faucet for me, I am forced to use my paw to stir up the water in the cat bowl or the cat sink.
After Mom and Dad cleaned the bathroom, I could not get either of them to come turn on my water for me - they were both so tired. So, I was forced to stir up the water in the cat sink. I got a little carried away and I splashed and splashed and splashed and had a really good time! When Mom came in the bathroom later, she thought I peed on the floor, but then she noticed all the kitty paw prints all over the counter and floor. Of course, I was wet too, all over my chest and face and paws!
I had a good time making a mess in the clean bathroom!
