Arrival Story:
The day after I lost my girl Siamese cat Cosette, I was on the Internet looking for Siamese cat breeders. I've had Siamese all my life and I needed another one soon (and I could hear Cosette--"girl, get another cat NOW!"). One e-mail led to another and I found BePrsCrePrs, a small cattery that breeds show cats and had just relocated to NY. I had many pleasant e-mails with the owner and told her exactly what I was looking for: a cat who could live alone but get along with my parents' cat, a cat who would accompany me on car trips, a cat who was nice with my friends and other people (like the vet), and a cat who liked to cuddle and watch old movies. She said she had the cat for me. I went to the cattery and was amazed when I entered a room of gorgeous, svelte Siamese cats, meowing their greetings to me. This room had females and kittens; later I met the males, who were kept separately. I spent over an hour and a half there, getting to know everyone, and each cat was as nice as the next. I had cats on my lap, on my back, rubbing up against me--they were all so sweet. Then came the time to decide (and I was NOT leaving without a kitten). The owner showed me a particular male kitten who loved a good tummy rub--she put him on her lap and he just went limp while getting his tummy rubbed. I met his mother, whose name was Harmony, and his dad Sneaky Pete. They were so nice--and who wouldn't want to own the son of these two! This little chocolate point became my Mr. Darcy--and he's everything I wanted and more. And, BOY, does he talk! I miss my Cosette a lot, but I have such a wonderful boy; I know she'd approve.

Bio:
One of Darcy's siblings (from a later litter) recently became top kitten in the country; another kitten placed fifth in the country.
