Blech!

Mommy just brushed my teethies! I hate getting my teethies brushed...it's so...ew. The whole time, though, Mommy kept telling me how proud of me she was and how I was such a pretty girl, so I guess it was okay. She said that the reason she did it was because I have such beautiful white teeth now, and she wants to keep them that way. She doesn't want me to have yellow teeth like my uncles (though I've never met them...they live with Mommy's mommy and daddy).

But after it was all over, you know what I got? A treat!! It's a little stale (Mommy's kind of cheap and won't buy me new treats until these are all eaten up), but I still think it's better than just having the same food over and over. I'm not sure these treats will ever be all eaten up, though. I only get one treat a night and that's only on nights we brush teethies, which isn't every night. So...I guess they'll get eaten when they get eaten. :)

Callie wants to know...

Callie-leigh has many questions and she is dying to know the answers to them. So I figured I would help her out by posting one question a week or so and seeing what you other kitties (and human-pets) can come up with in the way of answers. Submit answers to Leigh-leigh's catmail box. :) Maybe I'll even post the best, most creative answers. :) Lol, this sounded like a good idea at the time, so let's see if it'll work.

This week, Callie wants to know:

"I purr all the time. All. The. Time. My mommy so much as looks at me, and I just start to purr. I want to know: how come my mommy doesn't purr back at me?"

And as an incentive, to all those who answer sweet Callie's question, I will give you a treat (two for the most creative answer!).

Thanks everyone!

Yaows and purrs,
~Amanda (the mommy) and Callie-leigh

Scary!

What's scarier than a hurry-cane? Getting your jaw stuck in your collar!!

I was only trying to lick the goldy thingy in my fur, that's all! But then my teeth got stuck and then I kept trying to get my teeth out, but then my jaw got stuck and my tongue couldn't even do anything. I was so scared!

I came running over to my mommy and stared at her with my mouth wide open. She said, "Oh no! Is your jaw stuck??" And then I tried to run away from her when she came over...I don't like her to see me in trouble. I can fix it myself.

But then I couldn't. So Mommy picked me up and whispered to me, took me to the couch, and got my jaw out. Yech, it was so painful! After that, Mommy kept me on her lap for a minute (I didn't mind...all I wanted was to cuddle with my mommy), and she tightened my collar because I pulled it loose (she said that if it was a little tighter, then I wouldn't get my jaw stuck again). And then she rubbed under my chin, and I love that so much! While she rubbed under my chin, I looked up and kissed her on her cheek a lot. I had to thank her for letting me close my mouth again!

And then you know what? She gave me a treat! She said I was such a brave girl and brave girls get treats for being brave. :)

I love my mommy! She helps me stay safe and helps me not to be scared even when I'm in danger. :) Mommies are so good!

With loving yaows,
~Callie

Hurry-cane

My mommy told me I could get on the 'puter, but only if she helped me spell. (She studies English and gets mad at bad spelling.)

There is a hurry-cane outside our home. Mommy said it's spelled "hurricane," but I don't think that makes sense. The rain is in a hurry to get inside, right?

Well, anyway, it keeps raining and raining. And there are two doggies who live somewhere outside our apartment (Mommy says they're our neighbors), and they just won't stop barking. They should just stop. Yelling at rain won't make it stop. I tried that already. Mommy went outside when it started raining. I was so afraid while she was gone, too. But I made sure she was safe by watching her from the window. She opened a door for an outside closet and put two chairs and a small table in the closet. But when she was doing that, the wind started to blow very hard (I could hear it even inside!), and the door to the outside closet that she was inside of kept slamming against the wall. It scared me so much! I just wanted my mommy to come back inside!

When she finally came back inside, I yelled at her for leaving me alone and for letting me get scared like that. But then she scooped me up and gave me a very big hug and kiss and I started to purr and couldn't stop, so I guess it was okay.

Then we played and took a nap together.

I don't like these hurry-canes. The wind is too loud and the rain makes the birdies go away. I miss the birdies.

Mommy promised that it will be better outside in a couple of days. I hope she's right!

And I hope all you kitties out there who are seeing this hurry-cane are inside and safe with your mommies and daddies.

Purrs,
~Callie

Hello to anyone and everyone reading this.

I'm Callie's mom (writing for her until she is old enough to be on the computer ;)), and we're both pretty new to this whole thing. While we're working on getting this whole thing set up, please feel free to browse Callie's page here. And check it out: Callie's on ErotiCat! The Purrfect Calpurrnia.

Hope everyone's having a nice day (especially those folks in England...my heart goes out to all of you)!
