 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: September 2nd 2004
 Coloration: Tortoiseshell

Likes: fuzzy toy mice, catnip, eating brushes, and playing with her mommy (me!)

Pet-Peeves: brushing teeth, clipping toenails, taking medication, when mommy kisses her too much, being ignored

Favorite Toy: fuzzy toy mice and a woolen toy frog

Favorite Nap Spot: on window perch, on couch beside me, under my dresser

Favorite Food: Hill's Science Diet (she prefers the chicken flavored recipe). People food: Cheerios and milk (though she is never allowed to taste it; she just makes valiant efforts to eat out of my bowl)

Skills: she stands up a lot--I think she'd rather be a biped; she's young, so she's still learning words and commands; she can dance

Dwells:
indoors

Arrival Story: I was scoping out local vets because I knew I wanted to get a cat, but first I had to get some information. The first vet I went to was the one where I found Callie-leigh. I had asked for an impromptu tour of their kennel facilities (to check for cleanliness), and there she was, in a little cage, recovering from being spayed. She was a stray, picked up by our Humane Society off the side of the road, and had arrived at the vet just a couple of days before. I was the first person who had asked to adopt her, so I was lucky enough to get her. :) They weren't going to adopt her out for another 10-12 days (she had an upper respiratory infection, and they wanted her to recover first), but they checked me out and decided I could take her home the next day. :) She has been by my side every waking moment since.

Bio: Because she's a little country bumpkin stray kitty, I have really no idea what her breed is. On my vet information, she's listed as a Domestic Medium Hair. But when I looked at the CFA's breed lists, I saw a 100% match in the personality and character traits of the Ragamuffin breed in Callie. If anyone can help me in identifying even just one of her possible breeds, I'd really appreciate it! :)
Also, Callie's got her own page on ErotiCat! See more of her adorable pictures here: The Purrfect Calpurrnia!

So, a few weeks ago, Mommy brought home a new baby. At first I was mad and hissed at the baby...but then, Mommy took her out of the carrier, and I saw how small she was. Did you know that they make kitties that small?? I didn't! So then I wasn't scared of her anymore.
Mommy kept us separated for a little while because the doctor told her to. The baby got sick with a cold, so she had to take some medicine, but I didn't get sick. And then, Mommy finally let us play together.
I am having so much fun! The baby and I run around the apartment together, eat together, and sleep together. Sometimes I give the baby a bath because she's too young to do it herself right. I think I love her, but don't tell anyone.
Maybe I didn't want a new baby at first...but now that she's here...well, I'm pretty happy. :)
Her name is Beatrice, but Mommy calls her "Baby Bea-Bea." She's 4 months old and weighs only 3 pounds. I'm almost two years old and weigh 9 pounds! See how much bigger I am? She doesn't scare me at all. I just have to be careful not to sit on her too hard when we're playing, hehe.

Today is my first birthday!! =^^=
Yesterday Mommy and I snuggled and cuddled all day long. I think it's because she wanted me to know how much she loves me and wanted to wish me a happy birthday. She gave me some new, fresh treats, too!! AND she went to PetCo the other day and bought these bubbles that smell like catnip! They're so much fun! Mommy and I play for a really long time with the bubbles, and the whole time I chase them around and yaow at them. It's so fun. :) *giggles* Mommy says, "Leigh-leigh...I don't have any more breath." But I just look at her and stand on her lap and sniff at her hand until she realizes that I wanna keep playing. Hehe. Mommy and I have so much fun these days. :D
Mommy says she's sorry that she hasn't been able to play around on Catster in a long time. We think about you kitties all the time, especially those kitties who are in all that trouble right now. We really hope everyone's safe and sound, and mostly dry. I hate being wet. But Mommy said that it's scarier than being wet, and that we need to be thinking about the kitties' mommies and daddies, too. So I'm thinking about all of you, really really hard. The hurry-cane didn't come to bother us, though we did get some turn-ados, and there was a really loud siren that blared all day a couple of days ago, and it scared me. But Mommy said we're really lucky.
So, I hope everycat's okay and that you're safe and sound with your mommies and daddies!
Purrs, the newly one-year-old,

Hey you kitties! :)
Mommy and I just wanted to come by to say that we're both still alive and thinking about you kitties all the time! Mommy keeps going back behind That Door for the whole day. She kissed me and snuggled me for a very long time yesterday morning and said, "Leigh-leigh...we had so much fun this summer. And I'm so sorry, but I have to go teach people about English." I cried when she closed the door. I just wanted to know why she had to teach people about English if they already knew it. *sigh* I was so bored and lonely. But I napped all day, so when Mommy came home from the "skool" (what she calls it) I was full of energy to play with her. :)
Today Mommy was home all day, so we played and napped and cuddled and snuggled and played and played and played! :) I love it when Mommy is home!! Tonight, she and I watched Animal Cops: Houston (Mommy helped with the title, hehe). I love it when Mommy and I watch that show because of a couple of reasons.
1. I like to see the animals get better. It makes me mad that their mommies and daddies don't treat them right. Their mommies and daddies should be chained up in the hot sun and not given food and water for a week to see how it feels. It makes me so happy when the animals find new mommies and daddies to love them and cuddle them and give them kissies and play with them all day. :)
2. The show makes Mommy so emotional that she always starts to cry a little, and then she finds me (I'm usually right next to her somewhere) and she hugs me and kisses me and cuddles me and whispers to me, "You know I love you, right Leigh-leigh?" Of course I do! :D Mommy does so many fun and great things for me, even though we have stale treats. ;)
Do you other kitties like to watch Animal Cops? I think every kitty and doggy and other animal should watch it with their mommies and daddies so that they can all be very thankful for each other. :)
Well, I'm starting to get very sleepy. Mommy and I played with the red dot thingy (Mommy said it's a "laser"), and I am pooped! Time for a little cat nap before my midnight prowling. :)
Have a great night kitties!
