I haven't written in my diary in awhile, but since it's a new year, I decided I needed a new entry.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas-whateveryoucelebrate and a happy New Year. Mom was home for a whole week after Christmas, so that was great. I wish she was here with us all the time, but she has to work and keep Fancy Feast in the kitchen.
It's really cold where I live in Tennessee. We even had a dusting of snow last night. I had to run out on the porch and check it out for my self, but I didn't stay long. It's too cold for me!
The New Year is starting off a little sad. A sweet little blind kitty was going to be rescued from a shelter in Georgia and go to live in Minnesota, but Eve was too sick and had to journey instead to the Bridge. She had some wonderful cat moms trying to help her though, and even more purring for her to make it. Catster sure is one big loving group.
I also want to send out special purrs to my buddy Gleek who has been having nasty seizures again the last day or so. I'm purring really hard for ya Gleek and hope the vet can get you back on the right track.
Hope everyone stays warm and cozy!
Peace
Daisy

April is a big deal at my house. Spring is officially here, the dogwoods start blooming, Mom has to do her taxes and I have a birthday! Woohooo!!
Mom has promised to make me some bacon on Monday for my 4th birthday. I'm hoping she will buy some Lucky Charms cereal too and throw in a few marshmellows for me. Those are my two favorite things to eat. Well, tuna is up there too. Maybe I'll get some of that too!

Catster lost one of it's biggest stars and sweetest voices this week: Scooter.
Scooter, or Scoodle as I liked to call her, was a good friend to nearly every cat who is active on Catster. Every cat who knew her loved her. Scoodle's diaries always made me smile, even when she was having a bad day. Scoodle was always ready to help a cat figure out the computer stuff ... how to post a certain song, how to get something just right on your page ... whatever you needed, Scoodle was there to help.
My favorite thing she ever posted was her voice. I love it. I still get excited whenever I hear it. I rub against the computer speakers and look for her, because she sounds like she's right there in my room!
I will miss you, Scoodlebug. You were one in a million, sweet girl.

From Daisy's Mom:
I was fortunate enough to meet Scooter in person and celebrate her 20th birthday with her, her parents and Coco/Mouse/Ray's Mom. We had a blast, even though Scooter wasn't too sure about this strange woman staying in her house. She put up with me and even let me kiss her once and pet her a few times.
Even at 20, she was regal, poised and gorgeous. I took some photos of her while I was there, and I will post one of them on Daisy's page as our tribute to a sweet kitty and her loving, generous Mom who gave her a voice and shared her with all of us here on Catster.
We all know that our kitties don't really talk, but as their parents, we do know their personalities. Being able to capture their quirks and traits and transfer them to words is not an easy task, but Scooter's Mom captured Scootie's personality perfectly. We also transfer a part of ourselves to our kitties. And Scooter's Mom was no different in that. Her kindness and generosity shined through Scooter. Please keep her and Scooter's Dad in your thoughts.
