Yesterday the Catster world got a little smaller and a little cloudier when one of its brightest stars passed over to the Rainbow Bridge. Mercy, or Miss Mercy as I liked to call her, left us way too soon. To say I will miss her is an understatement.
When I joined Catster, way back in 2005 when I was just a kitten, the first cat who befriended my family was Mercy. Over the years, we have gotten close and our moms have even gotten to know each other well. Her page was always the first one I checked when I visited Catster. Mercy's photos and diary entries never failed to put a smile on my face. You never knew what outfit she would be wearing or what position she would be twisted into in her photos. She always looked like she was having a blast.
Mercy was friends with just about every cat on Catster, but she had a way of making each cat feel like they were her best friend. I know I'm not the only one who will miss that sweet little face.
To her Mom and Dad ... thank you for sharing your special little girl with all of us. I hope you both find peace and comfort in your memories and all those wonderful photos of Mercy.
Goodbye, Miss Mercy. Mom and I will never forget you, sweet girl.
I haven't written in my diary in awhile, but since it's a new year, I decided I needed a new entry.
Hope everyone had a good Christmas-whateveryoucelebrate and a happy New Year. Mom was home for a whole week after Christmas, so that was great. I wish she was here with us all the time, but she has to work and keep Fancy Feast in the kitchen.
It's really cold where I live in Tennessee. We even had a dusting of snow last night. I had to run out on the porch and check it out for my self, but I didn't stay long. It's too cold for me!
The New Year is starting off a little sad. A sweet little blind kitty was going to be rescued from a shelter in Georgia and go to live in Minnesota, but Eve was too sick and had to journey instead to the Bridge. She had some wonderful cat moms trying to help her though, and even more purring for her to make it. Catster sure is one big loving group.
I also want to send out special purrs to my buddy Gleek who has been having nasty seizures again the last day or so. I'm purring really hard for ya Gleek and hope the vet can get you back on the right track.
