Arrival Story:
A friend of ours has a business cleaning motel rooms. She found poor Kola living in one of the rooms. He was half starved -- both for food and human contact. Apparently some long term guests had simply abandoned him when they moved out. My friend wanted to keep him, but her husband is deathly afraid of cats. So, knowing that my husband and I have adopted needy cats before, she called us.
Bio:
Kola is a large, big boned cat with a huge head -- our vet calls him "Apple-head." He loves to be petted, but after a while he will gently bite your hand to let you know he's had enough. He's very friendly to people he knows, but it takes him a while to warm up to strangers. He loves to take sand/dirt baths which helps keep his coat nice and glossy, so we let him out under our supervision. He loves our two dogs but he misses his older brother Dude, who left for the Bridge on 7/04/06. He's a night owl, and spends most of the day sleeping. Basically, he's an all around good cat!
