Arrival Story:
The previous owners of our house had told us that they had two outdoor cats, one of which was black & white. They intended to take the outdoor cats to their new home. However, a couple months after we moved in, a black and white cat started hanging around our yard. We started feeding her and made a bed for her in our garage. A little over a year ago, two smaller black & white cats started coming in to eat with her. We presumed they were sisters and that the bigger cat was their mother. My husband fell in love with Mitsu's cuteness and she seemed to consider our house as her own, so we informally "adopted" her. Her sister (Missy) still comes by every so often for a visit and food.

Mitsu's name is a shortened version of Mitsubishi, since the markings on her head look like the Mitsubishi logo. Mitsu became a mom in March, when she gave birth to six kittens. She was a very good mom and took care of them diligently. Once the babies were old enough, Mitsu was spayed and the babies were adopted out to new homes. Mitsu's "boyfriend" (and the kittens' suspected daddy) spends most of his time here with her, even though she's been spayed. They seem to be very good friends and often nap together. :)
