Arrival Story:
Her mother appeared in our barn about 4 years ago. Before we could tame her enough to get her spayed, she had 5 kittens that March. The weather was very cold and we didn't find where she had them hidden until she lost all but one. She took him away and we didn't see him again until...she got pregnant again and had 5 more kittens! This time when she brought them out to show us, she brought the one from the first litter along, too! All of this litter survived. Buttons and her 2 sisters and 3 brothers! We got all the girls spayed, but all the boys left before we could tame them. The mother cat accidentally got into the farrier's truck in February after this litter was born and left with him, and we never saw her again! That, after we had her spayed and everything! One of the other females of the litter just disappeared. (Sad thing about outside kitties...but these are our special barn cats!) We now have Buttons and her sister, Bushy Tail remaining, and they're both very special kitties
