Happy Birthday To Me!

I can't believe it! Today's my birthday and I'm already 3 years old!!! Time sure flies when you're having fun and I have the bestest Mommy and Daddy in the whole world. They sang to me this morning and Mommy said she's going to the vet to get me some special food. I hope that she means I'm going to get some of that yummy wet food she stopped giving me. She said I was going to have to share with my brudder but that's okay. His birthday was earlier this month so we can have a joint party.

I'm going to go take a birthday nap.

Check out my new picture. I have a new haircut. Mommy said I had to get my fur cut off because I was shedding so bad and she was tired of vaccuuming twice a day. So, I went to a groomer. Boy, was I pampered. I had a haircut and a bath and was given hugs all day long.

Mommy and Daddy laughed at me when I came home. But they still told me I was so handsome which I already knew. I really do like my new look. I'm not as hot and I can get to those hard to reach spots when I take a bath.

Well, Mommy said she's getting ready to go to work and I need to go give her rubs and headbutts. I'll talk to you later.

OUCH!

Today was NOT a good day. Mommy got up early and told me I had to go see Dr. Pope to get my dingleberries brushed out because I won't let her and Daddy brush me. She put me in the blue cage and drove me to vet's office and then...SHE LEFT ME THERE!!!! Dr. Pope stuck something in my butt and then I fell asleep. When I woke up, Miss Maria and Miss Pam were laughing at me...they said I had "male pattern baldness"...I don't know what that is but I do know that I have a LOT less fur now than I did when Mommy took me there. Mommy came and brought me home. When I got there, my back legs wouldn't do what I told them to. But, Mommy finally let me eat something. She put the food way up on the fridge last night and all I could do was sit on the floor and look at it.

I'm still not feeling 100%, but Mommy is staying home with me. She told me how pretty I looked which made me feel good. Daddy told me I was handsome, but then he told me that I was going to have to let him brush me. I'm still not too sure about that.

I can't wait until tomorrow. Mommy won't let me play with Murphy tonight because she is afraid I'll get hurt because my legs won't listen to me. But, she said I'll be much better tomorrow and can run and play all I want.

I think I'm going to ask Mommy to pick me up and cuddle me. She is SO good at giving cuddles.

What a Day! Monday June 20, 2005

How was your weekend? Mine was so much fun!!!! The weather was so nice that Mommy and Daddy turned on my TV with the volume on. That's what they call it when they open the windows for me and Murphy. We had so much fun watching the birdies and bugs. Mommy and Daddy went out for a little bit on Saturday. They said they had to go get stuff to cook dinner for Granddaddy. Saturday night they sat outside and you know what that means!!!! I get to come out too. I'm only allowed outside with one of them because we live on a street with lots of big noisy things on it. I had SO much fun!! I rolled in the grass and ran around to catch bugs. I almost caught a birf but Daddy stopped me before I could. He said it would make Mommy said. I don't know why...birds are so good to kitties.
On Sunday, my grandparents came over because it was Father's Day. I love it when Grandmommy and Granddaddy come over. They think I am SO special and of course they're right. Grandmommy always picks me up and tells me what a big boy I am and Granddaddy always pets me and plays with me. Since today was Father's Day, I spent extra time with him. He really seemed to like that.
It was so nice again today that Mommy left the bedroom window open all day for me and my brother to look out. I was SO excited...they normally close all of the windows when they go to work, but not this morning. I had so much fun looking in the backyard.
Well, I'm getting hungry...maybe Mommmy will give me a treat if I go ask her. If not, I'll wait until Daddy gets back...he's a pushover.

I love my life. Mommy and Daddy spoil me something terrible. They hug and kiss on me and tell me that they love me all the time. I love them too...they're great parents. They take very good care of me. But, I'm a little nervous. Mommy is taking me to the vet today. She says I have to get a shot even though I'm not sick! YUCK! Daddy said it's a vaccination...I don't understand all these big words! Mommy tried to take me to the groomer yesterday to get clipped, but I don't like loud noises and the clippers scare me! Now, Mommy tells Daddy that Miss Maria (my favorite vet nurse) is going to have to clip me and I'm going to have to be sedated. I don't know what that words means, but I don't think I'm going to like it. They keep saying I'm going to get a lion cut and that Murphy is going to laugh at me. I don't want to get clipped but Mommy says that since I won't let her or Daddy brush me I don't have a choice. All I have to say is there better be a big piece of steak waiting for me when this is all over!
