   Leave a treat for Misha

Arrival Story:
Misha was just a tiny kitten when her mother showed up at our doorstep. We started feeding them, of course, and eventually we were able to bring Misha, her littermate Indy, their mother, and their four younger siblings into the house.

Misha is still very timid. In fact, when we were evacuating ahead of Hurricane Ivan in 2004, we ended up in the E.R., Auriette with a bite wound and Tim with scratches that got infected. Never underestimate a scared cat, even one as sweet as Misha. On March 31st, at around 11pm, Misha began having trouble breathing, and she appeared to have fluid on her chest. The symptoms seemed very similiar to when her younger brother Remy had hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. We did everything for him, but it didn't buy us much time, so with that in mind and considering Misha's age, difficulty to medicate, and the high level of stress that treatment would cause her, we decided to help her cross the Rainbow Bridge.
