Skills: Catching butterflies, she could jump feet into the air to catch them.
indoors and outdoors
Arrival Story: Someone came into the shop where I was working and said that she had a kitten she wanted to find a home for, right away I said yes, a few weeks later she turned up with this very tiny tabby kitten, the poor little thing had an awful cold and her eyes were very runny and mucky, We took her straight to the vet fearing that it my have been cat flue but all was o,k, after a course of antibiotics she was a normal lively kitten, into everything.
Bio: If at any time in the summer we couldn't see Pooh all we had to do was look under one of the Budleas(butterfly bush), there she would be, waiting for butterflies. Pooh was always a very small cat and she often had trouble getting to the litter tray or outside in time and would leave little puddles about the place, but we thought that was part of her being her, then when Pooh was about five the vet tried to do some tests to try to find out what if anything was wrong, but each time Pooh would have a cold or something to prevent the tests from being done, when they were eventually done it was too late, Pooh was in final stage Chronic Renal Failure, she had fluid replacement treatment two or three times a week for a few weeks but it finally caught up with her and we had to make that dreadful decision on March 18th 1998. She went peacefully with us there with her just before 9 am. Pooh was only six years old, taken far too soon. Bless you sweetheart, till we meet again. Pooh never grew up, she was one of those cats that seem to stay forever kittens,
My catster best friends are Baby IN-LOVING-MEMORY, DAPHNE
Hello to all of you. I just wanted you to know that yesterday would have been my 12th birthday. I have been here at the bridge for 6years and 5 months, and allthough it was my birthday I am still only six years old cos there is no such thing as time up here. I know that my meowmie misses me and the other eight of us that are here but we try to reassure her that we are all O,K by being near to her as much as we can, I think she knows we are there. Meowmie has a rose bush in a pot in the back garden in memory of me, It is called" Tawney Tiger" and it was in flower yesterday, it is very pretty and unusual as it has teracotta and orange striped blooms, thats why she picked it, she also has three roses called "Rhapsody in blue" in memory of Smokey, Smudge and Arri who are all blue/grey in colour, now she is looking for five more to plant in memory of the others. I can see her crying again, better go and try to comfort her. I just want to add a great big thank you to my two very special friends, Punkin Pooh Horn and Charlie Clarence Horn who sent me birthday wishes in memory all the way to the rainbow bridge.THANK YOU SO MUCH. Purrs and headbutts from Pooh (at the bridge)
