Arrival Story:
While driving to work a kitten darted out into the road. I Hit the breaks and swerved a little. The noise made her stop and puff up at the car, then when it looked like all was safe instead of going on her merry way she sat down in front of the car and proceeded to nap. I figured this little one needed rescuing and got out of the car and took her with me to work. I left her with a friend who could watch her for the day and then made a temporary home for her at my workplace. I already had 2 cats and a fiance who accepted my fur babies as part of the package but never really liked cats. He was more of a "dog person". Plus we were in between residences for a while, and finding a home that would accept cats was going to be difficult enough with out the number being 3. I snookered him into coming to work with me the next day. I knew she was a cuddle bugg and I was sure all I had to do was get him to spend any time with her and I could close the deal. I put the kitten in his arms and told him I wanted to find her a good home with ours was. She immediately started to purr. Kitten purrs are ten times louder than cat purrs. He was used to cat purrs so he was impressed with how loud her affection was. Then she fell asleep in his arms, and he was hooked. I told him since I had named the last two he could name this one if we were to adopt her. He started to gently hum along with the song on the radio "Amy whatcha gonna do" He looked up and said We'll call her Amy.

She is now Daddy's Cat. Not a day goes by when I don't hear from The macho" Dog Person" I married some form of cat cute. She is our middle child and occasionally displays middle child syndrome. But most days she's content just to be daddy's little girl.
