Arrival Story:
When I moved into my first house a neighbor offered me a kitten. Her Siamese had 8 kittens and they couldn't get rid of the smallest one -- Keo. I took him home and he spent a week under my couch before he decided he liked me.

We call Keo bunny b/c that's what he thinks he is. He has long back legs, big ol' ears, twitches his nose, and eats lettuce. Keo used to be an inside/outside cat. When he was four months old, a neighborhood boy picked him up, punched him in the face, slammed him against a brick wall, and left him for dead in my yard. I found him in the yard, having seizures and drove him to the vet ... I didn't think he would make it. I thought I was taking him there to be put to sleep. The vet said he thought we could save him, but that he would never be a "normal" cat. One month and $1500 later, Keo came home. Half his face is paralyzed, he has a place in his foot that never healed correctly, but his vision and hearing (which they thought he would lose) are fine. He's fine ... and we love him dearly. That was life #1. Fall of '04 Keo became very weak and lethargic. The vet said it may be a bug, gave him some antibiotics and sent him home. A week later he was walking around the house, fell over, and started gasping for air. The vet ran more tests on him and discovered he had an anemic conditions much like sicle-cell amemia. He spent a week in the hospital, lost seven pounds, was on a feeding tube, liven in an oxygen tank, and had to have several blood transfusions. That was life #2. Luckily he is happy and healthy now ... and has gained all of his weight (and then some!!!) back. We feel very blessed to have him around.

Guess what I got?

A new comforter. Mom said its for her, but I know its really for me. Its the color of ... um ... cat food. That light brown color. And its made of something called twill. Whatever it is, its real fluffy and fuzzy.

When mom put it on the bed I got so excited I rolled around on it for about fifteen minutes. It makes the bed so much softer. And its WARM!!!

Last night I decided I'd sleep under the covers since I'm a peoples like mom and dad. I climbed all the way under there and got real cozy. Well, mom didn't see me (cause the comforter's so fluffy!) and she sat on me!!! It hurt and I screamed at her. Then I came out and gave her a dirty look. She felt really bad so I gave her some headbutts and snuggled with her for a while. Gotta keep your people happy.

You guys should convince your people to get one just like it! It came from some place called Walmart that I think has everything a cat could possibly dream of. Mom said it wasn't real expensive, but it sure does feel like it!

Where in the world is ... Macavity Sandiego???

Where is he? He's not on the bed, he's not in the litter box, he's not in the sink, he's not in the window ... he's not at the food bowl.

I know!!! He's UNDER the bed. Silly cat is scared of the big stupid dog. That dog definitely isn't as smart as me. Of course, few are as smart as me. I'm the coolest. Sometimes when I walk around I have to wear sunglasses so no one recognizes me.

Anyways, Macavity is hiding from the dog ... I think he wrote about it in his diary, but I don't really read it because he just tells me every thing anyways. He's by best friend. You think I can convince him to come out and play???

Oh boy ...

Oh boy everything. Capone is getting better, we got a new puppy, Macavity finally got online ... what could be better???

Capone is getting better. He doesn't have cancer and his neck is a lot less swollen. For a while he looked like a sumo cat. Now his skin is stretched out on his neck and he has double chins like me!!! (but I'm still fatter).

The puppy is cute, but he is real annoying. He wakes me up when I'm sleeping. And he thinks that the dog bed is his, but we all know that it is mine.

You all should look at Macavity's page. He's lived with us for a little while, but he's camera shy so mom couldn't get a good picture of him online. Now he has a page and he's even made a diary!!!

Hope you guys like my brother. I love him a lot.
