Not as small as I used to be...

Today I saw a spider and decided I wanted a closer look. But it was hanging up near the top of the kitchen cabinets. No problem! I used to go up there all the time when I was younger. Uh Oh - then I remembered the last time I tried. I knocked over a bottle of this stuff and it broke and made dad angry (see "In the D*ghouse" diary entry). But that is gone now... I figured no problem. I climbed on the counter then up onto the top of the fridge. Hmmm at this point I remembered why I stopped going up there - I am a LOT bigger now. But I made it this far, I wasn't backing down now!

I squeeeeeeeeezed into the space between the cabinets and the ceiling. I had to crawl to get to the spider. I reached it and batted it around a little. It wasn't too much fun though since I couldn't move much. So I ate it.

When dad got up he looked for me and called me. Hehe - I was watching him the whole time from my lofty perch. He finally did look up when he saw some of the stuff that was on the fridge knocked to the floor. "Aedan," he said, "you're too big to be up there! How are you going to get down?"

Oops, I didn't think of that! But I showed him - I cautiously moved my way down to the fridge and then hopped down to the counter. Then down to the floor. Dad had a frown on his face but I know he was impressed with my dexterity.

Eating the spider was not a good idea. I got sick a little while later. Dad knew exactly why. Spiders shouldn't look so yummy if they are going to make you sick!!!
