FOUR MISERABLE DAYS AND NIGHTS!

It's back again!!!!

This morning, Mom saw me just sitting in the litter box...and sitting...and sitting...then Dad told her I didn't eat my Fancy Feast this morning. So that meant....off to the vet!!! Actually it wasn't that bad. He's pretty nice, and his helpers are all really nice, too. He thinks I have a bladder infection and gave me a pill (poked it down my throat, actually!). Mom thinks she can do the same...we'll see about that! She's not nearly as intimidating as the vet! I'm not feeling well at all...I'm still spending a lot of time in the box, making little tiny drops every once in awhile. I hope the pills start working soon! I don't like feeling this way.

Being sick is no fun!

I've been a healthy cat all my life, and never had to go to the vet except for regular check-ups and shots. Last Friday, my mom noticed me going from one box to the next to the next and leaving a couple of drops in the box! She watched me and called the vet, and they took me in Friday afternoon. He said I had a "UTI" and gave Mom these Zinequin pills to give me half one once a day. Well! I don't take pills!!!! Mom found this out...much to her dismay! She tried and tried on Saturday, and never could get it down me! Then on Sunday afternoon she "bulldogged" me and after 3 tries, got about half of the half down...maybe! She couldn't be sure because I started drooling and foaming at the mouth when I swallowed it! Sooo...on Monday morning she and Dad loaded me up and took me to another vet about 30 miles away. They decided to just keep me there and give me injections every day (OUCH!!!!!). If I'd known that was going to happen, maybe I would have been better about taking my pills! So I had to stay in this awful cage, with noisy cats and dogs all over the place...they put my carrier in my cage and I hid behind it all the time! I HATED THAT PLACE!!! Every morning the vet came in and dragged me out and gave me another injection! Twice he ran a urinalysis. Then finally, today he gave me my last injection and then squirted some liquid Albon in my mouth and said I could come home!!! Mom set me up in a "private room" with my little carpeted box that my dad built for me, so I can sit on top of it or inside. It's in front of a full glass door, so I can look out on to the back porch. I have my own private litter box, food & water...the works! It's a little lonesome in there, but I can't complain. I'm so glad to be home! Mom gave me a bowl of my favorite Fancy Feast soon after I got home and I ate every bite! Then she petted me and fussed over me and that made me feel better. The vet said I still had a little infection left, so I have to take this Albon twice a day. Mom sneaked it in on my tonight and I actually swallowed it. It really wasn't all that bad. Anything would be better than having to stay at the vet's and go through all that stuff! So maybe I'll be good and let her squirt it down my throat twice a day! It made her so happy when I took it tonight! And she was so thrilled that I'd used my box normally!! It doesn't take much to keep our humans happy, does it?
So I'm back at home again...and hoping I keep feeling better and don't have this problem any more! The vet said it could have been caused by my stress when I had my fur all shaved off and my teeth cleaned, plus the anesthetic. I hope my stress over 4 days at the vets doesn't make me have it again!!!
What a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
