indoors Arrival Story: After I got my cat Foo, I realized he was lonely. He was used to having another cat to play with. So I began my quest for the right sibling for Foo. I figured a kitten would be good for him. I wanted to adopt an older cat, but I thought it would harder for him to adjust. So I went to the shelter. I didn't find the right kitten. Then I went back a week later. There were seven litter mates who just arrived. Apparently strays but I question that. They were all gorgeous! After looking around, I decided on this spunky calico. They named her Serenade. She was vocal! And cute :) I put in an application for her. The kittens just came in so I was first in line for her, but I would have to wait days by law (to see if they were claimed). I put in the application on Monday and brought her home on Friday! She was all of 1.6lbs. Sooooo tiny!! I put her in the carrier and told her I'd love her forever, always would have a home and love. I kept her from Foo on that evening, but over the weekend, they became instant brother and sister. Foo resisted a little bit, but he really loved her. And that was the beginning! Now, Mosi has Duffy, our 85lb shepard/lab mix. Took a while for all to get along, but now Mosi allows dog kisses. She tries to swat at Duffy, but I know she really loves her! And she loves Foo. They are the sweetest cats ever. Bio: She's my sweet little baby girl. Sometimes she reminds me of me! Such a strong personality! And stubborn and vociferous! Mosi is a good sister to both Duffy and Foo. Foo would not be clean with out Mosi. She loves the Duffy, but she would never admit it! She now has two other younger brothers Milo and Ray-Ray. She makes sure she lets them know she's the boss! Forums Motto: It's mine!!! The Groups I'm In: Calico Owners & Lovers~ The Last Forum I Posted In: Fleas! I've Been On Catster Since:
Mosi crossed the bridge today. It turns out her tummy issues were cancer, which was so bad the surgeon could not help her. She had a painless and peaceful passing.
On the way home from her adoption, I promised Mosi that she would always have a loving, good home. I never forgot my commitment to her and did everything in my power to give her a happy and healthy life. In turn, Mosi was a fantastic pet. She was bossy and had lots of spunk - and that's why I loved her so much. Mosi loved life and me every day, no doubts. From bouncing off the walls as a kitten to catching mice, Mosi gave life her all.
Life will not be the same for all of us with out Mosi. My little calico kitten is gone but not forgotten and certainly never unloved. Thank you little Mo, for the love you gave me. It made my life special and it could not have been the same with out you.
Yes, I need tummy surgery again. I've not been feeling well since we moved to our new home. I've been having bouts of vomiting and I've lost 3lbs. Mom took me to the vet a couple of times, but nothing shows up on the blood work. Last night Mom noticed that I had a string coming out of my butt. The vet did some x-rays and my intestines are bunched up and obstructed. Mom and Dad are very worried, but I'm a tough old girl and I'll make it through just fine.
A couple of weekends ago, I felt very sick. I didn't want my food, had a fever and my tummy felt sick. Mom took me to the vet and then whisked me off to an emergency clinic. I was so sick I couldn't even meow to tell Mom how upset I was. Before I knew it, I woke up with stitches in my tummy. I was out of it because of the pain meds, but I was wondering where my Mom and family was. It was scary. Then my Mom came to see me, and brought me home. She's been taking care of me and spoiling me. I'm feeling much better now and I'm ready to get out of the office and boss everyone around. Can't keep the Mosi girl down for long!
