Bugs & birds! I love to take my human on long walks on his leash in the city, the forest, anywhere!
Pet-Peeves:
Rain! Being held in anyone's lap (Yuk!) I'm not too nuts about other cats. They bore me. I am pretty indifferent to dogs too. Can't see why they make all that noise.
Favorite Toy:
bugs, butterfiles, birds, mice, squirrels, anything I can hunt
Favorite Nap Spot:
I have several: my cat tent, my cat bed and at the foot of my human can opener's bed.
Favorite Food:
I love wet canned food, especially Whiskas, and chicken and salmon my HUMAN eats. BUGS too
Skills:
I climb trees and rocks, I run on a leash, go to the outdoor market in Ottawa, I perch on my human's shoulders, I hunt, I am not afraid of water. I even FETCH furry balls for my human staff, I am CAT, my motto, "I'll do whatever I like, human staff!"

Arrival Story:
I was very lucky to find Argentée (French for "Silver") at the Ottawa Humane Society. I had applied for a Maine Coon, but they told me I would maybe have to wait for months before they would get one in. Two days later they phoned me back and told me they had one!!! When I got three, I saw her right away, and she reached through the cage and put both her paws around my finger! I knew we were going to be life long pals. I then asked the attendant for a leash, and to my astonishment, the little Maine Coon immediately took to it, and followed me around the room 3 times! I've had Arj Parj for 3 years now, and she continues to be a charmer! She has gone for walks as long as 5 kilometres (3 MILES!) in the woods, without even batting an eyelash. She climbs trees like a trooper, and chases squirrels and chipmunks like a zany nut! Birds too, of course. (But I don't let her catch them). Argentée is the smartest cat I have ever met in my life. She is really amazing!
Bio:
Argentée was the featured cat in the winter 2005 issue of "Our Best Friends" (Ottawa Humane Society) The newsletter named her “The Triathlon Cat of the Year†because the photo I gave them has her WAY up a tree!

Hi all you kool kats & Maine Coons! I am 6 now & cute!
I am a very pretty girl Maine Coon! I am very very active
(except in winter when I'd rather sleep than go outside
and freeze my buns off!). I walk my human can opener
on a leash almost every day, except when it's raining!
(I hate rain too!). When I am out walking, oher cats
DON'T tangle with me, because I am a real lynx!
I love climbing trees way way way up! Last summer I climbed
20 feet (3 metres) up one tree. And what's more, I can climb
down too.... I'm no scaredy cat!
I love to hunt and to go to the woods in the Gatineaux Hills
near Ottawa, where I can trot near the lake and watch the
rapids while EVERYONE takes my photos (as if!)
There are lotsa dogs out too, but I just ignore them. As if!

No Guff!
If you search "tree climb canada" in Catster, she will pop up FIRST amongst all the outdoor tree climbing cats in Canada. No wonder! She is Canada's "Tree Queen", higher than Queen Elizabeth herself, who is only human after all!

Hi there, Kitties and Maine Coons ALL! It's ME, Arj Parj, your TREE QUEEN!
As you can see, I just LOVE climbing trees! My human can opener and promenader just loves to take photos of adorable MOI, and as you can see, I am ALWAYS up a tree. All spring and summer and fall, I take my human bus boy for walks on his long long leash in the neighbourhood, to the park & even to the Gatineaux Hills just outside Ottawa. And I love to hunt for bugs, butterflies and (maybe even the odd bird, who knows?) Because I love bugs so much, my human calls me, "my little bugger", naughty boy!
