canned tuna, Chinese fried rice (she politely helps herself)

Skills:
She can open any door or cabinet that isn't shut tightly. Not to be deterred, she will summon her subjects (humans) with the yeowl Siamese are so famous for...and that can awaken her snoozing brother--- and peel paint. Gotta love 'er!

Arrival Story:
Mhari (Irish for Mary) was named by her breeder, a wonderful lady who bred and showed Siamese as well as Tonkinese, and was a member of the Retired Friends Association in CA. I had tragically lost a beloved Siamese, so she and her brother Mick 'rescued me!' They were up for adoption only IF they could go together. Several people wanted them. My Marine husband just knew M&M would choose to come live with us and they did-- a perfect match for all! Adopted in 2000 at 18 months old, she & her brother have gone from SoCali to WA state, NC, and now are back in catmom's home state of big ole Texas....and, unlike her brother, she is NOT a good traveler!

Bio:
Mhari is more a one-person cat, and *I* am her person! Friendly, but 'selective,' she's a bit of a princess. However, she makes great eye contact with those beautiful blues and is super intelligent, loving, devoted... and vocal. She can hold her own when she and her brother wrestle, but when she's had enough, she prances off like the Priss-ess she is, leaving Mick a bit befuddled. She's the one on the right in the twosome pic. UPDATE: On Oct. 5, 2009, her sibling Mick succumbed to an aortic thromboembolism, so she misses her lifelong brother, but is doing better with his absence than we expected. We believe she senses what happened and knows he is still 'with her' always, just as he will be in our hearts.
