Arrival Story:
My daughter came home with a handful of fluff one day after school .. when I told her to take it back cos it was too young to leave its mother she told me that the mother had been given away and the man was moving so he was just gonna leave the kittens behind unless someone wanted them. So I told her to go back and get all the kittens. Mayday was the in the worst state of the 5, we went down to our vets to have them all checked out. He didnt think Mayday would survive so we brought him back home with us so that I could do whatever I could to either save him or make him as comfortable as I could in his last hours. With a lot of work he made it. We werent sure of his actual date of birth, but we worked out it must have been about the beginning of May, and as he was rescued we chose his name and his birthdate to match (May Day). We had a border collie at the time and she brought him up so now he thinks he is a dog.

Bio:
He has an extra toe on each paw, cant climb very well (in fact we have to rescue him whenever he jumps out the front window onto the veranda roof as he cant get down and cant get back in the window so we have to put a fold out chair out the window, get him to jump on the chair so we can pull the chair up enough for him to be able to either jump back in or we can grab him. He is very tolerant of the rest of the family .. although he does like to hide in the bushes out the back and jump out at Gizmo when she is walking past cos she is about half his size .... but it doesnt take long for him to disappear cos then Baer goes after him to lick him to bits. He really reminds me of Garfield!
