Message from Simba and the Taylor Tribe

Like many Catsters, we are devastated that Catster community will close on march 3rd. We have felt like we are grieving over the loss of each cat over again, each time we visit here. We have made many friends here and some have gone to the bridge, but with catster its like they are still with us.
We have been on Catster for just over 8 years and at the moment can not think about joining another site, its all to soon to rush and the thought of re doing our pages and that of the rainbow bridge pages is all too much.
Mom is on facebook, but does not write very much, Catster aways felt safe and secure and not a place to be ridiculed.
The catster community helped so much when one of us had to leave for the bridge and its something that we dont think can be recreated else where. Its taken time to earn friendships and trust and its heartbreaking that all this is going to be ripped away.
Mom cant write anymore, her eyes are watering again.

Christmas gifts

Us Taylor Tribe angels watched over the family as they had Christmas today.
There were many pressies and of course candles lit for us that are not on the earthly plain.
We would like to share 2 things that happened in october.....2 early christmas additions to the family.
Please welcome Pixie and Mutzi to Catster.
It has been a wonderful experience watching over the family this Christmas, for 4 cats it was there first ever Christmas, Mally, Izzy, Pixie and Mutzi. O'mally had a great time and really joined in, considering he has brain damage, he was just fascinated by everything. Izzy joined in too, Pixie watched from near by and joined in a bit but it got too much for Mutzi and he wasnt sure what to do. But they all had fun with all the new toys and treats, they really were spoilt.

Happy Christmas

We are very honored that Gizmo was chosen to be COTD today, on Christmas day.
The week that Gizmo died was very hard, mom also lost her oldest rabbit (9 years) and a cat that she had looked after at work for 7 years. Christmas is going to be very hard with 3 of us not here this year and mom working on the day.
Christmas in our house has been delayed until tomorrow as mom didnt want to rush christmas at home and then go off to work at 3pm til 10pm.

What a surprise when she parked her car this eve at aunty moms.......aunty mom told her that Gizmo was COTD today and that aunty mom had done her picture. Mom rushed home to put the puter on to have a look and the tears started.
Thank you so much for all your gifts. The support of catsters all over the world helps so much.
Happy Christmas to you all and remember your angels are always with you.

The night before Christmas at Rainbow Bridge

T'was the night before Christmas, at Rainbow Bridge too.
We Bridge kids were thinking as always of you.
We'd seen how the holidays weren't bright this year,
Heard you whisper so often, "I wish you were here!"

We know how you wish you could just stay in bed
And sleep through the holiday lying ahead,
When all celebrate with their loved ones so near...
Unless they have loved ones on this side this year.

But we're no less alive here, on the other side.
If you could just see us, you would've laughed and not cried.
The dogs all in harness, pulling the sleigh.
The cats all in Santa hats pointing the way.

The pet birds all flying back over the rainbow,
Bound homeward in spite of Earth's darkness and snow.
All the pets that you've lost, pets for whom you've cried,
Flying home on this Christmas to be by your side.

If you feel warm fur brush you when no pet's around,
Hear a soft bark or purr, just a ghost of a sound,
We're trying to tell you we're visiting this way,
And our visits, even rainbows, can be on any day.

But for Christmas we have something special to do,
A sleigh full of happy dream visits for you.
On doggy, on kitty, on winged friend and ferret!
The love that you lavished, we mean now to share it!

We're fetching that love home, the way we once played,
With the closeness we shared and the memories we made.
Our Earth lives with you were too short for us, too,
And on this Christmas Eve we have so much to do.

So all through this night as you sleep in your beds,
Sweet visions of fur babies dance in your heads.
This one special night we can bring you Home for a while,
Your true home in Heaven, where again you will smile.

Over the rainbow you'll fly, for a short while this night,
Hours that you'll be happy, hours that will feel right,
Hours to cuddle and hug us, to run and to play,
Before the return to Earth in our magic way.

And when you awaken and face Christmas Day,
We pray you'll remember your trip on our sleigh,
But in case you forget, just remember our love.
Remember us watching you, your angels above.

Sending love wrapped in rainbows, shining and bright,
Love that will guide you through the darkest night,
Love found in each memory unwrapped through the year,
Replacing dark sorrows with Christmas cheer.

Leave the toys to St. Nick, we Bridge kids bring dreams,
Sweet visits to remind you all is not as it seems
When you look all around you with tired Earthly eyes.
If you saw as we do, there'd be joy and surprise.

There are fur angels waiting by those Christmas trees,
Always there for you and hearing your pleas.
We're never more than a thought away from your home,
You're never forgotten, you're never alone.

Nor are we alone here, with our Rainbow Bridge friends.
We know only joy here, the celebrating never ends,
And after our reunions with you Christmas Eve,
We Bridge kids will party like you'd never believe.

But we'll slip away often to be by your side.
Sitting there watching you, eyes open wide,
Praying you'll be able to catch a glimpse of us, too.
But whether or not you see us - Merry Christmas to you!

Not Again!!!

Hello my dear friends.
It is with much sadness to report that another one of my family is in the last stages of that nasty disease, cancer.
3 of us in one year, just cant believe this is happening again. Mom is beside herself. Mom rescued Gizmos mom, she watched gizmo and her siblings born. Snuffles died many years ago, gizmos sister, pootle disappeared in 2002 and brother died a few year ago with renal failure. Gizmo has been with mom for 18 years, thru the good times and the bad.
Why is this happening again to my family, havent they been thru enough.
Any purrs that you can spare would be appreciated, I know many of you are busy this time of year, wrecking Christmas trees.
Have to go, moms eyes are leaking and I need to watch over Gizmo.

I haven't even updated my diary for a few days and I get picked, wow, thank you.
Unfortunately, as some of you already know, Tilly Mint lost her battle with cancer on friday morning, her boys were with her, Timmy hadn't left her side all night. It has been really hard for mom to lose another one of us so soon after me. She has spent over 4 months nursing the two of us in addition to her usual job of 23 cats at work. She is feeling very fragile and numb at the moment and I know she has been thinking a lot about us that have passed over.
We would like to thank everyone for their gifts and kind words at this sad time.
I wish I had a happier diary entry to write but at the moment things are a little mixed up and I do apologize.
Make the most of everyday with your cat, their lives are so much shorter than ours and sometimes humans get too wrapped up in other things to notice time going by.

Another wet day at home

Tilly had another good day yesterday, it was dry and the sun came out a bit which makes Tilly feel better and she seems to eat more. Today was wet again, so I had to go and have a word with the Big Cat up here and he made the sun come out later for Tilly. Tilly's breathing is getting more laboured ( she cant have any more diuretics as it will de hydrate her), she is eating small amounts and often, shes into pilchards in tomato sauce at the moment, shes moving around and still enjoying having a fuss but the cancer is eating away at her so quick, just like it did with me. Moms finding it hard to go thru it again. For the last 3 nights, one of her sons, Timmy has been sleeping next to her, which worries mom, that he knows that Tilly hasnt got long left as normally they dont have any time for each other.
Mom is thinking of taking a leap of faith........she is going to have some business cards printed. I am trying to help her follow her dream of becoming her own boss and work as a holistic animal healer, she now has the diploma, now she needs faith in herself. Every time she has been thinking of doing business cards I have left a white feather where she can see it, 3 in 3 days.....get the hint mom!!!!
Why cant humans relax and listen to their hearts more.
Not like some cats I could mention who listen to their mouse pouches....MOL!

Time flys

Gosh....its nearly been a week since I last wrote, must discipline my typist.
Moms not had a great week, after she wrote my last entry, she went to feed the baby bunny before bed time and it had suddenly died, mom broke her heart, she had been hand feeding it for 3 weeks. 2 days later, one of the cats where she works had to go to the bridge and on top she has Tilly to worry about.
Today, at last, sunshine and Tilly went out and snoozed in the sun, mom took some photos and put on her catster page, she looks so sweet.
Anyway, just a short entry to let you all know I am still looking over everyone and checking on mouse pouches.

Time to be LOUD and PROUD

Its time to be LOUD and PROUD of your mouse pouches. You all have one, some are small, some are large, some swing to and fro, some bang on your kness others keep your feet warm when you sit down, BUT we all have one or 6!!!!
Mallys is so big, makes his legs look like a munchkins legs. I think The Catfathers keep his feet warm! one large guinea pig pouch. I remember when mine kept my foot warm in the winter, coudnt even see my toes.
Hey, I forgot to tell leg was waiting at the bridge for me, I am not a tripod anymore.
Gotta go and sit with Tilly for a bit.

Butterflies and Raindrops

After reading the comments on my diary entry yesterday, one was reminded of something.
Yesterday was a rare dry day, it has practically rained everyday for 2 months. Wildlife this year seems pretty rare to see as we haven't had the weather that the little bugs and critters need. every time mom looked out of the window, either out the front or the back she was greeted with sight of butterflies and with Tilly going to the vets, mom knew she had kitties looking over her. Today Tilly is eating more and is much brighter than before, it seems the old Tilly really is back with us for a while longer.
Dad has given Mally a new nick name.....the guard dog! because he is big and chunky and likes to sit by moms feet as if guarding her, he gets quite protective. Mom hasnt had time to measure his girth but to be honest I dont think he is going to let her, some things need to be kept private and no one should up stage The Catfathers mouse pouches, we dont want to find mices heads in our beds or be given an offer we cant refuse.
By the way.....younger kitties, if you are ever offered something by someone you dont know, say NO and walk away.
