indoors Arrival Story: Sylvester was brought in the rescue center where I worked, he had been at the vets for 4 weeks very poorly and was still in a mess. He had been taken to the vets after being found tied up by his collar in a kitchen cupboard knee deep in his own dirt and urine. He had been in there since he was a kitten, he was about 1 year old when taken to the vets. His collar had dug into his neck and left cuts, his fur had been burned off by the urine and left him with scolded skin the fumes has also affected his breathing. When I saw him I knew that he probably wouldnt settle down in the average home and would need a lot of patience, so that day he came home with me. Bio: Sylvester is a very gentle cat and does not have a nasty bone in his body. He has a lovely loud purr and chats when spoken to. He has come long way since I first saw him and a year on he is now starting to come out of hiding, I think he has come to relise that hes not meant to live somewhere small and dark the way he spent his first year. He still has problems with his skin and when it flares up he can scartch till he cries, but we keep it under control, and he is always cleaning himself , sometimes until his skin is raw.
He is a handsome boy and loved very much. Lives Remaining: 8 of 9
