Today is the last placement event of 2011 for the Yolo County SPCA. Our adoptions numbers are down and we are hoping that in 2012 things will be better. That is one thing that we have--hope. We have hope that more people will spay & neuter their pets so there will be fewer unwanted animals. We hope that TNR programs are put into place in every city, county, town and community so that there will be fewer community cats. We hope that more people see the value of cats. It is more likely that people who move will take their dog & leave the cat. More dogs are returned to owners from shelters than cats. We hope that the friction and division in the rescue community will end. We all want the same things--to help animals --no matter what words we use. We hope to help more and to inspire others to join with us in a positive way to do this. We hope to end the abuse of animals and people. There are so many things that we hope for. We need your help to make these hopes and dreams come true. Purr with me & my family for rescues and forever homes. Support your local shelters and rescue groups. Spay and neuter your pets. Help all of us help each other.
